Does anyone know if the Celis's have retained an attorney?  I hadn't heard that they had, but that doesn't mean that I didn't miss that bit of information along the way.

I have not seen anything on them retaining an attorney.  I guess that doesn't mean that they haven't...but they haven't made it public if they have.

sorry IDRW,upstream, mentioned about foreclosure, and somewhere back in
the threads,i posted about the home,bought for 400k,now valued @ 250k
IDK if there was a 2nd mort, but if there was,and it was taken out pre,09 bank
bail, there could certainly be a prob with finances, the bring isa home pg,has
3pgs of big name sponsors,IDK that seems like a lot of funds,i know everyone
has there way of doing things, that just seem big to me
the pg says the screen was moved, and i think i read that LE had no comment
on that subject

from the
http://bringisahome.com/

Circumstances
Isabel Mercedes Celis's parents put her to bed on the night of Friday, April 20th around 11pm. Mom woke up before everyone else, got ready for work and left around 7:30am. Dad woke up shortly after and went to wake the children. It was around 8am when he noticed Isa was not in her room. At that time the police were notified. A screen from one of the windows was compromised, the blinds had been shoved aside.

Hmmm...what kind of information do they have?  Sonora, Mexico is 5 hours and 18 minutes away per Google map.
Have you noticed some of the Mother's family/friends on her facebook are listed as living in SONORA? Klaas had found her facebook and posted upstream, this is the link......interesting to say the least

I sure hope that the parents are innocent in all of this...my hinky meter is not going off at all with this family...

Honestly cookie mine isn't either...I have tried to look at different angles.  They look like they are really active in the children's lives...and how does one go from a baseball game to doing something horrible to their child?  It just doesn't seem to fit.  Of course...ANYTHING is possible.

Quick response...I was.  Needless to say...he has all of the "unpleasant" chores...no allowance...and apology letters to write.

Perhaps "someone" saw them as an easy target (if related  to Sonora) ........beautiful family taking trips to Vegas looking like they were doing well for themselves......
The only hinky twinge I had was with the Dad during the press conference early on. He just appeared "odd" to me like he knew something/who was responsible and why. I don't feel like they hurt this child but may know who is responsible.....jmo

The following link gives a good inside look at the Sonora state regarding violent crime.

Pacheco said the family has received numerous requests for an interview from media outlets and is considering sitting down for an interview, though police do not know with whom.

http://www.tucsonsentinel.com/local/report/043012_celis_missing_tucson/tpd-video-witnesses-celis-case-was-from-wrong-day/
I think the choice of media outlet could be very telling.  This is already a national story, heard it on one of the local news stations earlier, so there is no need to go with any of the networks.  If they give the interview to local stations, it will get broadcast everywhere anyway.

Also a thought on the red car.  In that one odd PC the parents had Mom said something along the lines of keeping the focus off of them.  Perhaps they were going through a rocky patch and one of them was using that car to sleep.

Have the older Celis boys returned to school and little league games?  What's going on with this family?

I have to agree that my hinky meter is not going off, however, people looking from the outside at my family would have never guessed what went on behind closed doors.  My step-father coached my brothers little league and later attended all their football and basketball games.  That didn't keep him from going off in vicious rants and pointing a gun at my brothers when he was really mad.  It didn't keep him from molesting me, either.  So, sometimes it is hard to tell what a family is really going through.

I would like to know if this is true.  I was trying to find who lived in the home down the street...when I look up the records it looks more like it would be Sergio's parents home (well that is the name on the property appraiser site).  I know that it was said somewhere that Sergio's brother lived there...so I'm not real sure.  But, if they are looking into Mexico...then wouldn't that be HER family that is there?  Am I right on that?  So, was there a cousin in the home, I wonder?  Maybe that is why they want video and pictures from the baseball game that night.  To see there interaction.  Is mom's maiden name Lopez?

From the mom's facebook page you can find several family members with the last name Mastromarino.  I'm guessing that this is the mom's side of the family.

I'm not sure which side of the family has ties to Mexico.

A source close to the family claims that police are allegedly scrutinizing a male cousin of missing girl Isabel Celis. What does he know about 6-year-old Isabel’s disappearance from her own bed in the middle of the night?

Does anyone recall what vehicles were in the driveway at the Celis home?  Was there a black Jeep?  Just curious.  One of the family members has quite a bit of trouble with authority here in Florida...just curious.  I don't want to post anything about him really...because he may not be involved...but, I would like to know if he was around that night?

http://nancygrace.blogs.cnn.com/2012/05/01/bedroom-attack-could-be-linked-to-isabel-celis-disappearance/?iref=allsearch

Bedroom attack could be linked to Isabel Celis disappearance

An attack on three young girls has been reported at a Tucson-area home just 10 miles from the house where 6-year-old Isabel Celis may have been abducted from her bedroom.

Authorities are investigating whether the bedroom assault early Monday morning has anything to do with Isabel’s disappearance. Isabel was reported missing around 8 a.m. on April 21, and her parents told police she was last seen in her bedroom when they put her to sleep the night before.

Pima County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Chris Nanos told HLN’s Nancy Grace that Monday’s incident occurred in a quiet neighborhood north of Tucson where three girls, ages 6, 8 and 10, were sleeping at their grandparents’ home. Nanos said around 1:48 a.m. the family reported that a white man believed to be in his 20s had come into the girls’ bedroom and molested one of them.

“All three reported an individual had walked into the bedroom, assaulted one of the little girls, left the bedroom, then returned to the bedroom and engaged in conversation with one of the little girls who challenged his story to her. He then fled the house,” Nanos explained.

 ::snipping2::

Nanos praised the young girls for providing valuable information about the suspect. “I can’t say enough of their courage. They are the heroes in this case,” he said.

Tucson police said Monday that they do not know if there is a connection between the two incidents, but they are reviewing the cases to determine if there are any similarities. The possibility that Isabel was kidnapped from her bedroom by a stranger is one of several that authorities are considering.
