I have a friend with a kiwi farm in middle GA, they have ostrich or emu as well - both are making them a fortune.

Forget hair, grow fruit and poultry  

I wonder if anyone has ever shaved an Alpaca and then ate it?

Me and me Alpaca was out takin' a mornin' stroll whence we came upon a fine sauce for bar-b-que.  He looked at me and I looked at him.  Td-Day I have a fur coat and a full belly.... lol

Another time  a friend had asked for suggestions on different stuffings for a pin cushion. I did find some different suggestions but also got into a porn page. Now how do you get to a porn page when asking for different stuffings for a pin cushion.

I bet that does not happen to Klaas or Janet.

LOL.  I would have just said styrofoam.  Now I see what I would have been missing.  

Yeah! I usually use polyfill but it does dull needles and pins after awhile. She had done this tatting which if you are not familar with is a very fine fine lace. So she wanted something that would last but not dull needles. she also wanted to be able to wash it. Decided on hair as the best thing for the project.

Once upon a time I had a freind that was into collectables and she was searching for a particular type of doll house.  I googled "doll houses" and I am still book marking all those hits! lol lol lol

I was joking a little, but you do have to be careful these days, especially if you are at work trying to search for some silly, innocuous thing.  Everything appears to have hidden meanings these days.

I collect dolls and was searching for Doll domes and houses MY goodness
you can come up with some nasty stuff and then when you click on something you think is doll related you cant get out of it with out rebooting   Thank god my kids were not standing by

I love that modern invention know as the telephone. I can just let those fingers do the walkin.

This other modern invention known as the computer is great also but I am always really excited when and if I find something with it. I have gotten better with it than in the beginning but I also think the search engines are better also.

I remember early on trying to find an ancestor in the Circus. My clue was tightrope walker. I got pages and pages on Depression.

Sam I call directory assistance and ask for a number and they always say theu don;t have the number. So then then get an attitude and say - hold on for a supervisor. Well the Supervisor has the same info as the first idiot. So I tend to get frustrated and say I don't want to pay for this call...ThenI look up the number myself while I have the supervisor on the phone and say I just found it, how come you can't.

The other day I was looking for a doctor and they didn't have the number, so I was looking as the supervisor was looking and I said I WON and I even see his picture. The supervisor hung up and I called back and said I didn't want to pay for the last call.

Angie - so pleased to see Patrick back - swoon.......

Alpacas are really sweet natured animals.  They only spit at each other not at humans.  Alpaca farmers know not to get between two alpaca that dislike each other or they may get spat upon.  Lala's could write them up in her book.
There are a lot of them here as they farm them for the wool.  The wool is very fine and it is so soft when you pat them.  They come in a lovely range of colours too from pale cream right through to dark chocolate or black.
