If the AMW info is correct, maybe JoAnn and the girls were on their way out the door to go to school and AM grabbed them then.  He may have taken mom to the garage on a ruse that he had to show her something and killed her.  From the police affidavits, it sounds as if the oldest daughter was killed elsewhere.  Was she questioning where mom was, became upset and AM felt he had to take her down too??

I've been thinking the same, Jo Ann may have been taking the girls to school.  Maybe she had even parked the Durango in the garage?

The cell phones being left behind doesn't really fit with that imo, but maybe someone took the phones back in the house?

I know there was a tweet from one of Adrienne's friends at about 8:45 am asking where she was.

Now this is where the 60 vs 40 issue comes to play.   60 could be retired with a pension?  When they lived in Arizona before and ran her dad's ranch they raised goats, chickens, and sold jewelry on the website so they could of been self sustaining on the ranch or he could be in between jobs with the move back to Arizona???

His timeline is tight imo.  They supposedly stayed up till 1am the night before, he awoke at noon saw everybody gone, made calls to Jo Ann's/Jodi's cell phone and 3-4pm no kids arrive on bus from school he calls the police to report them missing.  That is how I understand it went down anyway.

It could be possible that the girls were to leave their phones at home during school hours, but that would not explain JoAnn's being left behind, unless she was coming right back home.  Wish we knew more details in this case, but if not knowing will bring the girls home safely, I'm all for it.

It would make sense if Gary saw all of them ... the girls must have been up and getting ready for school and Jo-Ann was doing what mothers do.

Gary does not say anything about seeing Adam, Mary and Teresa being up and about?

What about his eldest daughter and granddaughter?

Considering the girls never made it to school ... the brutal murders and kidnapping must have happened a VERY short time following Gary going back to sleep.

The entire scenario does not make sense to me.

Thinking along those lines... She goes out to warm the car up and AM overtakes her.. Then goes in and tells the girls their mom said he will drive them to school. He's a trusted family friend so they go to the car (in the garage) and that's how he gets all. Covers their mouths quick.. Threatens them to keep silence. Maybe he knows Gary and etc. are late sleepers.. Maybe since they all stayed up late.. That many people in one home close to when they were supposed to move.. Enjoying last moments there.

I think I watch to much of those crime shows.. I just thought of this when people started mentioning it could have happened in the Morning and not night.

If Teresa's broken mother-in-law can attempt to reach out in her anguish to Adam on Nancy Grace and ... plead with him not to harm the girls ... so can Gary.  There is no excuse.  Those girls are his precious daughters.

I agree mostly but this guy is a loose cannon with the girls so I would be very concerned about that.  And AM did kill his wife so I am not sure how he would handle that...he'd need a lot of coaching from some very great minds in hostage type scenarios.

Adam Mayes shot killed according to Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards.

Two missing girls, Alexandria Bain, 12, and Kyliyah Bain, 8, are safe and on the way to Emergency Room.

Mayes and his wife, Teresa, were charged with first-degree murder this week in the deaths of Jo Ann Bain, 31, and her daughter, Adrienne, 14. Their bodies were found buried outside the Mayes' home a week after they were reported missing by Jo Ann Bain's husband, Gary.
