The child abuse investigation....

We don't know what occurred.  If KB had been groomed by AM then when investigators questioned her she may have just repeated the lies AM had trained her in.  AM, being manipulative, had probably already talked about how the person who turned him in didn't like him and had it in for him.  Considering the knowledge the person had (child porn in the bedroom) and the access (being in his home and walking into the restroom) this person had to be a) his ex wife, b) a member of his ex wife's family, or c) a member of his family.  Given the negative statements we've already heard from these people, wouldn't it make sense that he'd probably, for years prior, been telling the Bains how against him all these parties were.  If he were good at playing the victim, then they wouldn't have any reason to not believe him.  Especially if KB is telling them that "Uncle Adam" didn't do anything wrong.  The guy was a sociopath.  Lying is second nature.

On the video attached to the article it states the report/witness was one of his own sisters IIRC.  Now I do not know if that was Pamela - Gary's Ex Wife which would lead to a whole can of worms with Gary/Jo Ann/AM or the other sister.  I believe AM has 2 sisters?

I think we will find the fault within the marriage of GB and JB.  A difference of opinion on whom to believe AM or the SIL witness?  I seriously can't even come up with the words right at this moment.....  Other than I blame GB directly at this moment cuz I have a hunch he stuck his head in the sand on the whole issue and than JB for playing the good/nice wife next.

Yes, Regardless of what "agency" cleared him I would kill a man/any man who dared to shave the legs of my naked 7 yr old daughter.  In my mind there is not one thing that is normal about this and I see it as grooming behavior period.

Logic does not dictate Mr. Bain "should have manned up" etc.  Logic does not dictate being distraught would have prevented him from speaking to the media and thus satisfying whatever.
Obviously, or should I say logic dictates that the finding of these children was being handled by the professionals.
I am asking you kindly to give it a break.  Can we not celebrate the recovery of these two children?

Sorry Sister if I sounded petty. I too am rejoicing that the girls are safe and physically unharmed. None of us know what we would do if we were in their shoes. I am sure the FBI advised Gary Bain and The Johnson man on what to say or not say. I commend all of LEO who worked so diligently for the best outcome to an already horrible situation.

I am also certain the FBI directed the family, as you say Darla and thank God for those that are trained to act in the best way possible to bring those girls home alive.

I would not care if it was my Grandma. If I found out someone had my daughter naked shaving her legs ,changes are going to be made.

YES! cuz lord knows the women have been coming out of the woodwork in droves lately.  

It may come out otherwise but I think JB was trying to make those changes...atleast with what we have at this moment.  I guess we will see.  Always trust your gut.  I think some just don't have one sometimes.

In regards to no one in the home hearing anything the night that this family was taken out, let us remember Elizabeth Smart who was taken from her home while her family slept...except for the little sis who slept with her.

True Cookie but Elizabeth was only one person to keep quiet.  They had to keep all 4 quiet. 

 

Think about it.  What are the chances that Gary, his eldest daughter and granddaughter slept through the happenings encompassing two brutal murders and the kidnapping of two little girls.  Why did Adam, Teresa and Mary not anticipate being caught in the act?

Maybe the move to the Arizona was one of those changes.  Unfortunately ... the upcoming move may have been the motivation that set off the tragic chain of events.  IMO.

There was a question posed to a member of LE in a video I've watched about this case.  I don't remember now if it was the Hardeman County Sheriff Doolen (maybe in that first press conference) now or someone else.  The question was in effect if Gary Bain was involved in any way in the crimes against his family.  If I come across it again I will post it.

The answer to the question was, HE IS A VICTIM.  And that was the end of it.

Gary Bain did speak to the media to say that he wouldn't be speaking with them until the Hardeman County Sheriff told him it was o.k. to do so, I've posted about that statement with a link earlier.

Madison County deputies investigated Adam Mayes, 35, of Guntown, Miss., when he and his wife Teresa lived in a now abandoned home in the 3300-block of Riverside Drive.

In that report, deputies investigated a family member's claim that she walked into the bathroom and found Adam Mayes and then-7-year-old Kyliyah naked. He was shaving her legs. The family member also claimed Mayes kept a stash of child pornography in his bedroom.

After an extensive two-month investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Department, U.S. Postal Service, State Department of Child Services and an interview with Kyliyah, Mayes was cleared.

The February 2010 report also shows just how often Adam Mayes saw the Bain sisters. Teresa told investigators they young girls stayed with them once or twice a month, a claim back up by neighbors.

"They seemed to love him," said a next door neighbor who asked not to be identified by name. "He'd bring them up on the weekends and in the summer when school was out."

I cry to think of the emotional scars these young girls will carry for the rest of their lives as a result of this entire two week ordeal from H---.  The poor dears have seen and experienced terror that most do not in a lifetime.
