Casey Anthony Will Pay $25,000 NOT To Sell Her Life Story

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/01/casey-anthony-life-story_n_3689734.html?utm_hp_ref=crime&ncid=webmail27

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony has agreed to pay $25,000 to her bankruptcy estate to avoid having to sell her life story.

A judge in her bankruptcy case in Tampa approved the agreement between Anthony and her bankruptcy trustee in court papers made public Wednesday.

The trustee had considered the possibility of selling Anthony's life story to help pay off her debts to creditors. Anthony had opposed the idea, and her lawyers had argued that it would give the purchaser of the rights control over Anthony for the rest of her life.

She sure is.
Supposedly friends are giving her the money..
Friends? Probably money is coming  from George and Cindy's garage sale.  The reason for selling Caylee's stuff. They had to fund her murderer again don't cha know...

Excuse me for being stooopid- but can y'all explain to me how she is paying whoever to NOT sell/tell her life story.  I have read and reread these articles and I just don't understand.

Anyone else out there in la la land with me?

Cadillac  You are not the only one. When I first read it I thought WTH.  My understanding of this is she will pay the bankruptcy court the 25 thousand. So they wouldn't sell the rights to any book she writes. The bankruptcy trustee had wanted to sale the rights to her life story to pay some of her debts I think. Some business man offered the court 25 grand. So she could never make any money off selling her story down the road. In other words he would own her story.

Now where she is getting this 25 grand I have no idea. Is old fart mason jar giving her the money, Cindy or who ever she is living with. I really wish she would take a long walk off a short pier and never be heard from again. At least that's how I understand it.

Yes that's what it means. We all know that is just what she is going to do. Where is she getting the monies? After all she claims to only have 1500 dollars in total assets.

That's what is confusing -- if she doesn't have $25,000 to pay creditor, how does she have $25,000 to buy her story?

I wonder if someone is going to front her the $25,000 to pay creditors, with perhaps some sort of interest or possibly first dibs or rights on her story/photos etc., and then when the story/photos sells, CA makes her money.  The $25,000 could be like a draw on possible future earnings?  Just some thoughts.

Judge Belvin Perry: Is TV stardom on his docket?
August 5, 2013

Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr., who gained national fame through the Casey Anthony trial, could headline his own court show in fall 2014.

"We've been keeping it very quiet. We're partnered to do a judge show," producer Jim Lichtenstein told the Orlando Sentinel Monday. Lichtenstein covered the Anthony trial as a freelance producer for NBC's "Today."

"There's high interest in the man," Lichtenstein said. "A year ago, we tried and it didn't work."

At that time, syndicators thought interest in the Anthony trial might be a fluke, Lichtenstein said. What changed? The Jodi Arias and George Zimmerman trials and the sentencing of Ariel Castro suggest there is a big daytime audience for court shows.

"The fact that Judge Perry is the real thing certainly adds to the interest," Lichtenstein said. "There's never been a judge who on day one of the show he's a household name. When Judge Judy started, nobody knew who she was."

Perry could not be reached Monday, but court spokeswoman Karen Levey said in an email to the Sentinel: "I can confirm that Judge Perry is exploring his options, including TV judge shows."

No deal has been finalized, but more discussions with syndicators are in the offing, Lichtenstein said.

He all but walked the defense through the trial.  Sorry, I don't think much of him.
