Thanks everyone.....I appreciate all of you. 

I spoke to Detective Owens today....leads seems to have dried up.  He is anxious for the search in January.  He said he wants to do a grid by grid search.  I also spoke to Cindy at TES - she said that is what will be done.  They both feel that we will have to be checking places a person could hide or fit into.  Culverts, caves, etc.  Detective Owens also mentioned that he has worked in excess of 100 missing persons cases...he said in every case there has been a "blood foot print"....some kind of clues that told them what happened and at least pointed in the direction of someone responsible.  He said Clinton's case is the first one he can think of where they have nothing.  No direction as to where he is or what happened.  He said he is looking forward to the search....he believes there is at least a 50% chance Clinton will be with in a short distance from Larry's house on Ward Lane.

Dear Carolyn - have you considered that the lack of 'evidence' or 'clues' is THE evidence?

I do not know all of the specifics of the case, but unless this is the case of someone who may have fallen into a well, the perpetrator may be the first or second person the police spoke to... this person may seem to have no motive and an airtight alibi...when in fact the motive has no yet been discovered and the alibi is no alibi at all...

anyway . . . just a thought . . .

Kermit....I think my husband agrees with you.  The original suspect has been cleared by taking a lie detector test, however my husband is not convinced.....

An acquaintence of mine works for the Bossier Sheriff's Dept.  I asked for his thoughts, etc. re Clinton's case.  He indicated he would re-familiarize himself with the case and let me know if anything comes up.       

On a hopeful note, my friend had this to say:   "Our detectives are very diligent, and they have a case clearance rate that, according to the FBI, is three times the national average."

Do not despair.  God is on your side as are we.
