I don't think I have the patience to listen to it all again and transcribe, but a few points that I found interesting are...

http://local15tv.com/news/features/raw-news/stories/interview-chessie-wood-9.shtml

Chessie mentions a polygraph that Donnie Holland took at the Fairhope Police Department regarding child molestation.  She said the story was (through the family) that he passed the polygraph, but she found out later that he had failed miserably.

Chessie says she didn't know about her children being abused before Donnie Holland's suicide.

She said her first real info about abuse at all was when the police were called on Donnie Holland months before his suicide, and the police came and started yanking children out of the home.

Regarding Wendy Holland, Chessie said she had really hoped that she might tell the truth.  But it has been sixteen/seventeen months and she's been incarcerated twice and hasn't talked.  Chessie says she doesn't know if Wendy's afraid of being involved in it in some way or charges being brough against her...she doesn't know.  Chessie says she just knows that Wendy was Donnie Holland's wife and there were some suspicious things that happened when they found him, that just don't make sense... and no one has ever made any sense out of it for her to have peace about it.

Don't know if it's just on my end but I'm getting an error on the link to Chessie's full interview now.

Magnolia Springs woman arrested in ongoing sexual abuse investigation

ROBERTSDALE – Another arrest has been made in Baldwin County, reportedly part of an ongoing sexual abuse investigation involving the family of a missing woman last seen in the Styx River area more than a year and a half ago.

In a press release issued Monday, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Jennifer Gonzales Moore, 32, of Magnolia Springs on charges of production of child pornography and second degree sexual abuse.

The charges stem from an ongoing investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office and the Baldwin County Department of Human Resources in the Holland sexual abuse investigation.

Moore is being held without bond until she appears before a judge, according to the release.

Since June of 2012, several arrests have been made in Mobile and Baldwin counties involving family members of Brittney Wood, who was 19 when she disappeared from her Tillman’s Corner home in May of 2012.

In October, six of Wood’s family members, along with a family friend were arrested by multiple agencies in Mobile County on charges including rape, sodomy, enticing a child into a building or dwelling, sexual abuse of a child less than 12, and production of obscene matter of a person under 17.

Brittney Wood reportedly left the Tillman’s Corner home of her parents on May 30 and when she was not heard from by June 2, she was reported missing.

Wood’s family members reported her last cell phone transmission located less than a mile away from her uncle’s home in the Styx River area. Concern escalated when the uncle, Donald Holland Sr., reportedly Wendy Holland’s husband, was found dead at his Fairhope home about a week later of an apparent self-inflicted gun-shot wound.

On June 5 and 6, 2012, volunteers conducted a search within a five-mile radius of the uncle’s home.

Less than two weeks later, on June 19, Kent and Randall Scott Wood were arrested, the result of a three-month investigation in and around the Marlow community.

Jennifer Moore arrest shocks neighbors

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Neighbors in Magnolia Springs are shocked by the arrest of Jennifer Moore.

"She seemed like a really nice person. She's always been really nice to me and my grandma and my aunt when we are walking the baby," said Chase Weks, Moore's neighbor.

"I would never ever in my life think that girl down there, Jennifer Moore, would have anything to do with it," said Weks.

Local law enforcement confirms Moore is an active assistant with the local cub scouts. Authorities say the charges are not related to the scouts.

Scout Executive Michael Hartigan said Moore in not an employee or an official volunteer at Boys Scouts of America.

Hartigan also said anyone with an arrest record is not allowed to be associated with the organization until their record is cleared.

Authorities said Moore's charges stem from child victims connected to a sex ring investigation involving family and friends of missing mother Brittney Wood.

"They've had horrific things done to them," said BCSO Major Anthony Lowery about the children involved. "Horrific things. Anytime that more charges are added we understand it was something else that was done to them."

Investigators said they expect to make even more arrests and add charges to existing known suspects.

Meanwhile, Moore is being held in jail on $100,000 bond and is ordered to remain under house arrest and stay away from children under the age of 18.

DA's Office wants bond upped for Randall Scott Wood

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Randall Scott Wood was arrested along with six others in a recent sting involving the alleged child sex ring investigation in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.

Wood, who has been charged previously by the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, was most recently charged by the Saraland Police Department. He's charged with rape, sodomy, and enticing a child to enter a dwelling.

At the time, Wood was allowed to be released on pre-set bonds, while the other suspects appeared before a judge for a bond hearing. Mobile County Assistant District Attorney Nicki Patterson wants that to change.

"I'm going to ask that he be held on the same bonds as all of the other defendants in this case which is $60,000 on a class A felony and $30,000 on a class B felony. Also I'm asking he be on electronic monitoring and house confinement," Patterson said.

Wood's attorney filed a written waiver of arraignment, entering his client's plea of not guilty.

Details Revealed in Wood Family Sex Ring
Posted: Nov 14, 2013 11:19 AM CST Updated: Nov 14, 2013 12:20 PM CST

MOBILE, Ala. - The preliminary hearing for the Wood family child sex ring case is underway in a Mobile courtroom.

James Cumbaa, William Brownlee, Wendy Holland, Mendy Kent, Dustin Kent & Nelton Morgan are all in court together this morning for alleged child abuse.

According to witness, Detective Corley, a child victim involved in the case claims numerous sexual encounters with William Brownlee. The victim was 11-years-old at the time these crimes first began. William Brownlee was a friend of Donald Holland, the uncle of missing teenage mother, Brittney Wood. Holland committed suicide shortly after Brittney went missing.

According to Detective Corley, the Kent family forced their children to participate in sexual activity and made them touch adults inappropriately.

As the prosecution began describing wide-spread crimes, in which some of the suspects offered up their own children for sex crimes to other defendants, all sitting together, shook their heads.

Detective Corley also said on the stand that twin sisters, Mendy Kent and Wendy Holland have an incestuous relationship.

Judge York is sending all cases to  a grand jury.

Child-sex saga: 6 Brittney Wood family members, friends in Mobile court
on November 14, 2013 at 1:16 PM, updated November 14, 2013 at 1:45 PM

During testimony, investigators recounted the allegations of sex abuse from two underage, unidentified victims -- one male, one female -- which involved individual and group acts, some of which may have been recorded via a cell phone. According to the testimony, the earliest of the alleged abuses came when they boy was as young as 7 and the girl as young as 9.

In each case, York said he found sufficient evidence that the crimes were committed to send them to the grand jury for a possible indictment.

A seventh member of the alleged sex ring, Randall "Scott" Wood, is also charged in this recent round of allegations, although he was not scheduled to be in court on Thursday. According to Assistant District Attorney Nicki Patterson, Wood will have a bond hearing scheduled in the near future.

York is considering the requests of the various defense attorneys to lower bail amounts for each defendant, and will rule at a future time, the judge said.

Family Sex Abuse Case in Court
Updated: Thursday, November 14 2013, 05:16 PM CST

UPDATE 1PM: It was difficult to hear details in court Thursday morning in an alleged sex ring involving several members of missing teen Brittney Wood's family.

Dustin Kent, William Brownlee, Mendy Keny, Wendy Holland, James Cumbaa and Nelton "Butch" Morgan were in court. All are facing a variety of sex abuse charges.

Prosecutors say their young witnesses are believable. Defense witnesses call their claims questionable, but it's all uncomfortable to watch and hear.

"Here we have a group of adults who would get together and frequently molest children," said Nicki Patterson, Assistant DA.

The allegations are difficult to comprehend, even more difficult to hear in open court. So the mother of one defendant expressed outrage, and attempted to storm out.

The mother of James Cumaa had just heard evidence prosecutors plan to use to prove Cumbaa and five others are part of a child sex ring. Another family member even lashed out at our camera. The judge would have none of that, and let the family know it.

Prosecutors say Cumbaa was involved with a family that, prosecutors claim, were doing the unthinkable.

"The allegations here is that this was a group of family and friends who passed their children back and forth. These children are related to one another, and they are related to many of these people," said Patterson.

Twisting the plot even further, the six are either member of or friends with the family of missing teen Brittney Wood, whose uncle Donnie Holland was found dead last year.

At Thursday's preliminary hearing, prosecutors laid out a big piece of their case before a district judge, all details collected from a young teenaged girl and a preteen boy. They described the events that happened when they were as little as 7 and 9 years old, claims by the children that they were made to do obscene things with people they knew very well, claims of being delivered to locations for sex with multiple partners performing acts to selacious to mention here, most of them at a relative's house in Mobile.

In the end, the judge sent all of the cases over to the Grand Jury for possible indictments, possibly leading to a trial. That's not sitting well with some of the defense attorneys, who say this entire case is based on what they consider shaky evidence.

"When you have any witness available to you for an extensive period of time, they can be subject to any type of interrogation that gets you the answers to the questions you want. Basically, they are subject to coercion," said John Grow, defense attorney.

Still others scrabled to distance thier client from the case.

"Mr. Morgan is not part of this family. He's not in some ring with anybody. He happened to be a friend with Donnie back when they were
in high school," Donald Briskman, defense attorney.

"I can only speak to the allegations against Mr. Cumbaa and they are basically unsubstantiated. The are one of a litany of complaints and allegations this young lady has made that did not surface until very late in the investigation," said Cumbaa's attorney Jeff Dean.

A total of 11 people have been arrested in this case, spanning both Mobile and Baldwin counties. All of the arrests have some tie to Brittney Wood.

While this sex abuse investigation is going on, they search is still on for Brittney Wood. She disappeared in May of 2012, and hasn't been seen since.

Authorities on both sides of the bay say Brittney Wood's disappearance and the sex abuse investigation are not connected.

The six people in court Thursday were all requesting lower bonds. The judge asked it be submitted for further review.

Prosecution alleges friends, family of Brittney Wood 'passed their children back and forth' for sex

By Michael Dumas | mdumas@al.com

MOBILE, Alabama -- Six defendants in what prosecutors allege is an inter-family ring involving children being "shared" for sex were in front of District Court Judge Jay York on Thursday for preliminary hearings.

The cases involving each of the six defendants, related by either blood or fellowship to missing Mobile woman Brittney Wood, were bound over to a grand jury by the judge during a proceeding that required two tables be placed together to accommodate all of the accused. The respective attorneys for William Brownlee, Dustin Kent, Mendy Kent, Wendy Holland, Nelton Morgan and James Cumbaa had to stand behind and beside them in the cramped space.

During testimony, investigators recounted the allegations of sex abuse from two underage victims -- one boy, one girl -- which involved individual and group acts between the children and the defendants. According to the testimony, the earliest of the alleged abuses came when the boy was as young as 7 and the girl as young as 9, and in cases of some defendants continued for several years.

Attorneys for the defendants pointed out that, at this point in the process, all the allegations hinged on the word of two children, and no physical evidence.

“Here we have a group of adults who would get together, frequently, and molest children,” Patterson said. “The allegations here are that this was a group of family and friends who passed their children back and forth (for sex).”

“This was the normal family interaction for them.”

In some of the scenarios recounted by the investigators, the alleged acts involved multiple defendants together. Households where the children said they were abused involved the Kent, Cumbaa and Morgan families, they said.

Attorney Jeff Deen, who is representing Nelton “Butch” Morgan, said there’s no reason his client should even be lumped in with the other defendants.

“Mr. Morgan is not part of this family, he’s not in some ring with anybody,” Deen said.

Like Brownlee, Morgan is an old friend of the late Donnie Holland, who is thought to be the last person to have seen Brittney Wood alive in May 2012 before he killed himself a few days later. Holland was suspected of being involved in similar acts before his death.

In the end, Judge York ruled there was sufficient evidence to bind all six defendants’ cases over to the grand jury for possible indictments. When York ruled on Cumbaa’s case, his mother, Martha Cumbaa, broke down in tears before, suddenly, standing up and calling Patterson an expletive.

She was ordered by York to stay in the courtroom after the hearing and eventually apologized after being appointed an attorney and learning of the seriousness of a contempt of court charge.

The judge said he would consider the motions to reduce bail and rule on them at a later date.

Patterson said the bail amounts were appropriate, not just for ensuring the defendants would return to court, but also as a protective measure.

“This continues to grow in seriousness,” she said. “Part of this is to protect our community from them trading any other children while these cases are going on.”

I stand with the girl, Natalee Holloway.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

I steeled myself before opening and reading the latest installment in this children's horror story and it's a good thing.      Passing their children back and forth for shared sex, starting as young as 7 years old and sometimes continuing on for yeas.  Group acts.  Children should be allowed to be children, not pawns in adults sexual depravities.  What is the affect on these children in the future?

Prosecution alleges friends, family of Brittney Wood 'passed their children back and forth' for sex  "This was the normal family interaction for them.”
