Fox cable - sounds like the usual regarding the Renfro/Dompig article.  They said something like a Dutch publication saying Beth got a call (referring to the $4000) ransom I assume.  It will turn out to be nothing.

I get the feeling that Dompig is basically an idiot that changes his tune depending upon who he might be talking to at the time.  If all these people think it is good PR to blame America (75% of their annual tourist) for their short-comings, they are dumber than most pigs!

I've never heard of anything quiet like this one.  It's almost juvenile in its ineptness.  Every American needs to know about this BS!!!!!!

In the context of the recent Amigoe.com story about the FBI etc., I have been meaning to remind folks that Amigoe.com and Dompig also planted this outrageous story about Max DeVries. It came out in July or August of 2005. IMO the sole purpose was to shore up the idea that Natalee ALSO was an insurance scam.

To this day folks on Aruba think Max is alive, mom arrested, etc. You can read some of the comments about this on the thread for Peter De Vries.

Insurance company in the US asks the police for information on Max de Vries

ARUBA – The police is still not sure whether the American Max de Vries is still alive. According to chief of police Gerold Dompig, the police have only heard that there are rumours going round. “District Noord is busy investigating the rumours via official channels.” He means the American FBI and Interpol.

Dompig denies the fact that he had gone to La Cabana Hotel with the developments of the case. “They have come to us. They have found information on the Internet and informed us. We are now busy investigating the information they found on the Internet.”

La Cabana’s story is different though. The hotel employee has again confirmed to the Amigoe today that the police had informed the hotel that Max de Vries is probably alive. The boy is supposedly in Brazil. The American Insurance Company had asked the Aruban police for more information. Dompig didn’t want to say the name of the insurance company. “That is not in the interest of the investigation.” On the question of why the police is cooperating with the request of an American insurance company, Dompig answered that “Aruba would like to close the case of Max de Vries. That’s why we have to investigate new information.” Max de Vries disappeared over a year ago after an accident with a jet ski during a vacation in Aruba.

At some point the link to the story became obsolete; unfortunately the exact publication date therefore was lost (at least to me - if someone knows the date I would love to have it). The article above was actually brought over from RU.

Fairly recently, we asked Jossy about this case, on Dana's show. Jossy said the case was closed; he sounded a little surprised at being asked about such an "old" case.

And Rob has stated that despite the case being closed, Mrs. DeVries has not received a copy of the investigation records.

This is Aruba's main goal right now not to give Beth a copy of the investigation records.

Their modus operandi is to not share police records but to share lies to the family and media. If the family can't get the police records they can't bring a case against their criminals or prove corruption. Meanwhile Aruban police promote insurance fraud and suicide. Blame the victim and their family.

Eventually they just want it all to go away. They take rape reports but never investigate them. They allow the drugging to continue because they are owned by the drug cartels.

There is a reason Dompig wouldn't allow the FBI search boats in. He was hired by Jorge Pesquera of AHATA to be their spokesman. The hotel and casino owners pull the strings, guys like Dompig and Pesquera dance to their music, or else.

That Amigoe article came out about two weeks after Natalee went missing.  Max's name showed up at RWV and the next thing you know this shows up in Amigo.

If you read the Simian posts that we have saved, many of these ideas were posted there.  I'm waiting to hear Julia and Angela post about the boyfriend that came earlier to the island and left after the MB crowd.  Seems to be the only "inside scoop" that hasn't been mentioned by latest article.

do to all these recent developments I am about to recommend to the producers of the Kickradio Show that we do something, well controversial...

As many of you might know, kickradio has listeners in 120 countries world wide...

95% of those listeners are young adults 18 to 25

90% of that 18 to 25 demographic is "female"...

I believe we need to now point out the dangers of "clubbing" -- especially for young females, and especially in Aruba...

And, if we get any flak for this... well, i am ready to pint out that this is due to the recent offensive to cover the truth by trying to dirty the victim's family in all of this...

It is sick, pathetic and downright BS...

I have tried to restrain myself, but this has gone too far...

I say go for it... the more that know, the better!

Everything I could round up about Max is on the M&C thread, and most is also in the Peter De Vries thread. (I thought Peter DV might be really annoyed about that particular wrinkle, but to my knowledge he never followed up on it.)

I'm just making the point, though, that Amigoe.com looks to be a "plant rumor" device. And Dompig a willing channel. IMO.

They also believe that Max is alive and was an insurance scam.

Good Morning All-

Yesterday I looked for the links. I clear my cache every night and do not usually save links in a history file.

The info is out there - somewhere. I prolly should not have made that post, but I see an effort to discredit Beth and I don't like it. It's not like this is new. Whether this is for Dutch consumption or Arubans living in Hollands - I don't know. If you recall, I said I need more info and that would be needed to make a definitive conclusion.

As we all know, Beth said someone could be lobbying for Joran at the Hague.

When I saw the article with a Dutch Congressmen mentioned and the Case I got very interested and started to look for other info related to that item.

If this is a issue for some, I suggest you use the web and find info yourselves. I saw the article and tried to look for it again yesterday. No luck. That's what happens when you are just scanning. I don't save every link I stroll across. I do not possess Janet's moxy!

I know that Congressmen Tom Lantos (D-CA) is up to his eyeballs in all things Dutch and I have written \ researched  about him on my site. He seems to have his head up the ass of the Dutch.

So I am interested in the dynamics of the political end of this spectrum.

This case involves more than just Natalee - DUH!

We all know that.

I believe I have done my share of research and I don't lie. My Al Gore internet, I assume, works just like your's...The info is out there if you just look.

btw- Terrible news about Zina. This is making me terribly ill. I think we need to speed up executions. That might put a damper on it. When people think they will live another 10-20 years in prison they don't seem to mind when their lives are a miserable wreck any way.

The people here have paid very little attention to all the rumors that have been started by R and A. No effect whatsoever. Besides, everyone knows that Natalee did not leave Aruba by Air Ambulance!

Your right every young lady should know that sexual assaults go unreported in places like Aruba and Bonaire..You get raped and they will tell you to shut up,get over it and go home!!
