It's rather mind bogling to believe that anyone would donate the
services of two ships, the likes of which Tim's describing along with
all the requisite manpower and technological equipment.

I believe Rolls' research estimated that the operating cost of one of
those ships was in the neighbourhood of $1,000,000 per day. Now
Tim's talking about two ships: 265' and 340'

It is totally concievable to me that someone would be as kind to allow his boat to be utilized for this endeavour.  He means he has a heart, and the means to help.

Ditto!  This kind of generosity makes me want to cry.  But I am an emotional wreck this week-end anyway.

Dave:

All we had were some of these small time drug pushers, drug peddlars on the street wanting to get money for their drug use and to provide false tips and leads.
If this is something that was true, it was escalated out of control. I would call this probably tabloid reporting at best.

We always had a reward out there and that reward is now $250,000.00. This article went on to add that the FBI thwarted the investigation and that Natalee probably ran away. That's the furthest from the truth. The FBI wanted to participate; this was a sovereign country and they had to be invited in and they were denied that access.

This what people took away from that news segment:

DRUG DEALERS ALL OVER ARUBA. FBI DENIED ACCESS TO THE CASE.

I was on the phone this morning with Louis Schaefer of Superior Offshore Intl discussing upcoming search and the process that will be involved to set the wheels in motion.

There is still much planning and logistics to do for this search. We will be reporting more from the conversation on the front page.

Also, we are setting up an interview with Dana Pretzer for next week.

Mr. Schaefer did mention that they have two boats presently in Trinidad.

Thanks Red. These boats sound incredible. Can't wait to hear more about them.

There are many good people in this world, there just don't happen to be many on Aruba.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree.  I think there are many good people on Aruba, but they do not have the means/power to help.

There are many, many people with the means and power to help that choose not to.  That is the troublesome part.  Here are two examples:
1. Locally, there are individuals with very large ships, including everything from helicopters to underwater subs (think Titantic exploration) - they use it for their personal enjoyment and would not dream of loaning their subs as a donation to search for someone.
2. I know of a brand spanking new yacht/ship, 300ft long - a very good friend of mine will soon be on it's 9000 mile maiden voyage to ensure the voyage is a success. It would be a drop in the bucket for the owner to allow its usage but you will never see it happen - instead if he is not personally using it he will rent it out for play at $500,000 per week.

Justice it's because Heli would not give a friend the sweat off her back, much less a missing girl and worse one with parents who might be educated and more successful than her ilk.

Sheafer is a philanthropist, few true ones exist anymore but then if  you check Forbes top profitable companies list, oil and gas represent over half of the top ten. I seriously doubt Heli reads Forbes nor realizes that some like Shaeafer who benefit as suppliers to the oil and gas industry, WANT to give something back to the world.

This is a great credit to Tim Miller for achieving this contact and making this happen also. I double dare Heli to post another tacky and mean photo of Tim, he's certainly shown her he can run with the big dogs so Heli needs to stay on the front porch  Laughing

An aside, Dugga you ROCK !!!!

This is so exciting!   I wonder which boat??   Thank you Mr. Schaefer !

FOX NEWS - July 15, 2007
Tim:   When Dave and I were over there we actually found the boat we truly feel took Natalee out to sea...

Tim:  .... Louis Schaefer of Superior Offshore International, Louis called Dave Holloway up about two months ago when I was at Louis' house and he said Mr Holloway, I'm going to promise you something, if your daughter is in a metal container out there in that water, we're going to bring her home

Louis E. Schaefer Jr., Chairman of Superior Offshore International Inc

That's good, Sleuth....better than my from memory version, earlier..

How did you find Dugga, and did you see that I found his name in the dictionary?

Sleuth ... that was hysterical, ROTFLMAO! Who knew? LOL.

I think you all will be pleasantly surprised will the upcoming new & improved Monkey. I have not had an opportunity as we have been so busy, but would like to personally thank DUGGA for all their hard work.

I agree.  Just what is so mind bogling about people careing for other people?  I'd hate to be in need and have Heli be the only one around.

Klaas ... is there a problem with the search option?

I have been experimenting by using keywords from posts submitted today and ... nothing!

Thanks
