I know exactly what you mean Carolyn!  I feel for her parents having to put up the lousy excuse 'they don't know where to start.'  I am sure TES does, they would at least start.  No wonder why people get frustrated with Law Enforcement.

The 5 freeway to the 10 is a direct route right to Burgess house.

So why did he get on the 241 toll road?

a. She [Donna] gave him those directions maybe
b. He already planned a different route for some reason, for later when he brought her back, he had checked areas that are isolated.

The Chiquita area is not that traveled, and probably even less at night. What better way then to lure her back on his motorcycle telling her he will take her home now and her feeling relief that she was on her way home. To have him
pull off the road into one of these desolate areas that a motorcycle could easily travel down, more so than a truck.

I have something for you to think about and maybe you have seen some news articles what spell the action or lack of action of the boat at San Pedro Harbor and would share it.

I remember your great picture of the San Pedro dock area.

Was telling a friend of mine who grew up in Seattle.. and told her the police said the boat didn't leave the harbor.. She said... well, that doesn't mean it didn't leave the dock!

Have you seen it spelled out that it didn't leave the dock??? The San Pedro Harbor is so large.

Read somewhere the police searched around where the tool box was found and also wilderness areas in Malibu State Park.. wonder if they got that idea from his computer. The news article said he loved wilderness areas.

I have a friend who spends his weekends on a boat in that San Pedro place.  I asked him what type of security is there - would the harbor master (or whoever is in charge of that place) know if a boat exited the docking place?  He said no, there isn't anything.  There isn't any security or cameras.  I mean, he might not know exactly all the security devices since he only goes there and visits.  How can authorities know for sure 100% certainty when a boat comes or goes?  I know with Homeland Security things *must* have been tightened up, but I wonder what security measures there are there at that place?  Do the boats that have a permanent slip (or parking spot) there have some sort of electronic device that monitors their comings and goings? 

It is great news that TES is on their way!!!  Thanks to IBE, Kermit, Klaas and everyone else for all their super-sleuthing.   With all the wonderful maps and indications you have all found TES's job will be a bit easier.

Thanks kermie1 Saved me the trouble of trying to scan some old pics -- if I found them first.

I spent a lot of business time in the area -- '93 to '97 and again early 2001. The 'Cabrillo Marina ' Doubletree was my hotel of choice:-) Right on the marina.

Hope07 -- I do think the harbor master would have records of any ship entering or existing the actual 'entrance' to the harbor. It is the Port Of LA. The harbor is beyond huge. Cruise ships. Container ships. Loading and  unloading of trains. Trucks. And automobiles.

And I don't remember the rules -- but iirc, anything of a certain size or designation, had to have an escort (coast guard, I think) to and from the harbor entrance.

I KNOW 'some sort of radar' existed prior to 9-11. Of anything entering or exiting the harbor.  I can only imagine it became more strict afterwards.

But I don't know if there would be any record if you stayed within the harbor.

I've been following every bit of news that I can get on finding Donna.  Her disappearance has really gotten to me.  I didn't know her, but I live in Orange County and have a daughter around that age.  I can't imagine what her family is going through.  Like many of you, I'm hoping for the best and pray that she's somehow miraculously found alive and well.

I've also done my share of searching for information on low life Burgess.  Last night I was checking out the forum posts on myspace for musicians, for any sign of him.  I stumbled upon something that I'm finding very disturbing and wanted to get your thoughts.

I'm hesitant to put this link on here cause I'm not exactly sure what this picture is or means.  It probably has no connection at all, but I can't know that for sure.

Anyway, please follow this link to this bands myspace page.  It's the background image that I'm talking about.  It's very hard to see the image because of all of the type on top of it, unless you scroll down the page just past the picture of Betty Boop on a motorcycle outlined in purple.  There is very little type over the image there and you can see it clearer.
