"It has happened before, it will happen again." - A refrain from the newer Battlestar Galactica series.

How do you break the cycle of ignorance?  Self-perpetuating failure?  Why some accuse others of having a splinter in their eye, why don't they see the log jam in their own?  That which you manifest is before you?

"President Obama Backs Race-Based School Discipline Policies"

Quote
“African Americans lack equal access to highly effective teachers and principals, safe schools, and challenging college-preparatory classes, and they disproportionately experience school discipline,” said the order, titled “White House Initiative On Educational Excellence.”

Because of those causes, the report suggests, “over a third of African American students do not graduate from high school on time with a regular high school diploma, and only four percent of African American high school graduates interested in college are college-ready across a range of subjects.”

“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases.

Which came first?  The bad school or the criminal student element?

"It has happened before, it will happen again."

What happens when involved parents start to notice that crime and criminals are running free without any kind of punishment in schools that were once safe and producing quality graduates?  I'm thinking they find other alternatives for their children.  Perhaps some move out of what used to be good schools and found communities based around common values like safety, respect, academics, and responsibility for all ages.

What is left behind?  The children of parents who don't care?  Aren't involved?  Parents that are grateful they aren't being called to the school to address student disciplinary problems?  Parents that live a lazy and greedy lifestyle?  Parents who don't care how unsafe or lousy the school is?

How much of Obama's 'solution' perpetuates the problem of school violence and poor performance?  Lack of quality schools?

What happened to justice and her blindfold?  Why should crime pay for one group based on the color of their skin or national origin?  Why should skin color be an excuse to allow some to freely rape, pillage, and destroy communities?

Perhaps the solution is causing the problem of bad schools and criminal students to perpetuate itself again?  Perhaps the solution is perpetuating 'racial' and economic segregation again?  Repeating what happened in the 60's, 70's, and 80's?

You can take the student out of the criminal dangerous school zone and transplant them...can you take the criminal and dangerous behavior out of the student?

How long does it take for a parent to recognize the environment of a school has changed for ever?  Their local community is going down hill fast?  Maybe just he difference between an older and younger sibling?  When the older student went, the biggest problem was a student of two smoking weed.  The next in line?  400 or more 'violent' crimes a year in the school (9 months!).

What changed?  Moving people using housing vouchers...

Moving problems and destroying communities for a new generation?

Why aren't they moving these students to the schools the Obama children attend?  Maybe the Obama's should consider moving their 'advantaged' children to such schools in D.C. or Chicago?  Why are all these changes for working and common people and their families, but not the elites like the Gore's or Obama's?

How many quality people want to teach in a crime infest war zone?

Amy Carter went to DC public school...

Why don't they ever talk about keep ALL the children safe from student criminals?  Violent acts of rape, assault, etc., done by other students?

What's Obama's solution to violence and lousy schools?  Ignroe the cause.  Obama sent our military to take out a few 'war lords' in some small African nations...what of the war lords being enabled in the worst of our schools?  Student criminals that have no respect for others?  Teachers?  Parents?  Themselves?
