Dash:

I just shipped one of my 16 yr. old twins off to football camp today. He's 6 ft. tall and 190 lbs. and I think he was scared he'd get creamed by some of the other players.  He's just a big ol' teddy bear!  I've never been a big football fan...baseball is my fav.  But, it's been so good for him!

Dash, I really can't imagine what you're going through.  No matter what happens, life does go on, healing does happen.  I think you're smart to partake in the church services, etc.  I'm not religious, but it does help.

AzRosejust catching up...you're spot on about the DEAfirst time I've ever heard their involvement.

It's only midnight here...and darn...all the news sources are shut down at 9PM ET.

Think about the peeps in Hawaii who have to deal with this crap 24/7!

Well, Dash, unfortunately, I have different addictions now.

Football, yes. Definitely. Love the Titans.

But I started smoking in grad school. That is the hardest thing in the world to quit. Wish I'd never touched a cigarette.

Can you guys clear up the interview w/ the security guards?  Did one talk to Joran and the other talk to Satish or Deepak?

No one has been able to clear it up for me yet, so I hope someone does figure it out.

The article posted Monday morning said that Abraham Jones was in the same jail (police station) as Joran.  But when Jones was released and gave his radio interview to Top95, it was all about Deepak and how Jones got Deepak to trust him, so he told him things.

I can't believe Jones would've been in a position to talk to both Joran and Deepak, without each of them hearing or knowing what the other was saying to him!

Dunno who Mickey John was with (maybe Satish?) or what he overheard or was told, if anything.

Religion plays a much more important part in my life than it used to.

Actually, as a myspace user myself, I can verify that his site was not cleaned up. It would read as last updated and his profile read as follows:

Headline: "My Space :p"
Orientation:  Straight
HereFor:  Dating,
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Location: Aruba, Dutch Caribbean, AW
Profile Updated: May 4, 2005 7:02 PM
Last On: Jun 7, 2005 7:35 AM

He was last on June 7th but did no update which means he did not delete or make changes.

Nancy,  awww! I'm sure he's gonna be fantastic!  He sounds like he can probably take 'em!
Yeah, the services help a lot.  I am pretty religious (more so lately, and understandably so) but the church has been so good to open its arms to all people, not just Christians.  That really stuck out to me.  We have a pretty large Jewish population in MB and it meant a lot that just because it's a church, it didn't overlook anyone just because they may not share the same beliefs.
I'm not ging to preach to you, because that is in no way my place, but I will say that I hope you have faith in something, regardless of what it may be... I've found that it helps a lot.  It seems that you do though, since you seem so grounded and able to be so supportive not only of your own loved ones, but of people like me that you havent even met!  Thank you so much, you're really a sweetie!

Curious...how do/does one get that prolific log?

That's what happens when one actually builds a 'puter and realizes "breaking the seal" means you get to LOOK inside the box.

So, how did you/he/anyone get to "see" that log?

But Cali...doesn't that mean he just did not change his personal profile info but could have deleted all the posts by to him by friends? That would not affect the profile date change, would it?

It would show up as an update. You can find that info Whitney by searching the site for his name Joran ven der sloot.

To me it looks like he perferred his tickle.com website. Shocked he deleted the others and not myspace.

I don't blame you for being worried.  I've done the camp experience several times myself.   This situation with Natalee is so heartbreaking.  I can't imagine what her family and friends must be going thru.

I too would like to know this same question, Ben. I read the link I was given with the low-down of Jone's comments here on monkeys, but I couldn't understand the point form comments... who he was talking about, such as which of the 3 guys he was jailed with and who he was referring to in his comments. I thought the only one he was jailed with was Joran.  Question

Hopefully, someone else can post in greater detail, but basically one of the guards was with Dutch Bag and the other was with one (or both?) of the brothers?  The brother said they dropped off Natalee and Dutch Bag on the beach near the Marriott.  Dutch Bag said the brothers dropped him off and were going to take Natalee back to the hotel.

hmmm....there is something that stands out in my mind with that, and that is
1. I'm not sure I can believe that Joran would have let his friends drop him off first and then allow the brothers to take her back to the hotel, seeings they were romantically involved in the backseat of that car.

2. I think it is more convincing that the brothers dropped off dutch and natalie on the beach, near the marriott.

What a mystery....this is so screwed up all of these statements, retractions, differant conversation..etc..etc.

Juvenal,  that sucks! Yeah, I'm too big a wuss to start smoking... it gets all in my eyes and makes them water and makes me cough.  I guess that's good for me, even though a far cry from cool! haha!  Hang in there... I'm sure you can quit if you keep trying!  I know what you mean though, my aunt's been diagnosed with cancer repeatedly, and still can't give the things up!

The guard who was interviewed on the Top 95 FM station tonight was VERY specific that it was DEEPAK who he was locked up with. He was clear that his story was that they took Natalee and Joran to the lighthouse, dropped them off,  were called BACK there by Joran and picked both Natalee and Joran down to the Marriott Hotel area. He explicitly stated that according to Deepak, Natalee was extremely intoxicated and mostly out of commission but this was a layman's description that would fit a drugged-up young lady just as well. Plus, if he knew Joran slipped her something he wouldn't want to bring that angle in.

hmmm...OK. Did a test tonight and deleted posts from my daughters myspace and it doesn't show a new update "date". Maybe a fluke.
