Nancy, yeah, that's one good thing about all this... others who have had similar things happen but were brushed aside now can get some attention.  I'm hoping that's part of God's plan... I just also hope God's plan involves Natalee coming home safely!

I agree with you... I think once all of this is over, I'd really like to help start an organization that  promotes constant attention for missing persons cases... I never really knew how difficult it is to lose someone in the literal sense.  I hope others can at least benefit from this whole trying ordeal.

Yes, it would be great if something positive were to come out of this horrible ordeal.  That's what John Walsh did after his son was missing (and he ended up with his own TV show).

Did anyone catch a cnn.com article this evening that had a little blurb about how the 2 'security guards' and Joran were now pointing the finger at the two brothers? I was at a friend's house & caught it, but by the time I got home their release story had taken its place.

I read it 3 times to be clear and I wasn't partaking tonight.

Apparently, Dutch Boy is fingering the brothers and the brothers are fingering Dutch Boy (sexual innuendo not intended!).

Yeah... I don't think I could ever even attempt to try to have my own show, but I do a lot of filmmaking stuff, so maybe I could try to make an indie about the importance of keeping attention focused on missing persons.  That would have to be WAYYY later on, though. I think we all need a little settling time after Nat gets back though.  But it is a much bigger issue than I ever realized.  At least people are starting to realize that.

Earlier in the evening, I was trying to find out more about the KABNA (also sometimes KABNAA) which is the Cabinet of Netherlands Antillean and Aruban Affairs, where Joran's father, Paulus Van Der Sloot, works.

I had put in "sloot" as one of my search terms, with KabNA and kept getting these funky sites that just had "sloot" as a noun, not capitalized as a proper name.

So, I decided to see what in the heck these Dutch sites were talking about.  Well, I *still* don't know, but I found out that "sloot" means "ditch."

(Kind of like a "slough" - pron. *sloo*, I imagine -- even though Joran's name is pronounced "sloat," arubagirl told us.)

So, in addition to being a Dutch bag, he's also a Ditch bag.

The guard who was interviewed on the Top 95 FM station tonight was VERY specific that it was DEEPAK who he was locked up with.

I think the point of all this that there seems to be confusion about which guard was close to Deepak and which one SUPPOSEDLY heard Joran boo-hooing about being framed. I can't remember the name of the guy who was interviewed because of the poor quality of the stream. But the Deepak details are 100%. This guy was NOT the one with Joran.

I seem to remember that someone said the OTHER one was released, but that he refused to be interviewed on radio.

The story he related from Deepak is the "New Version" with the bros being called back to pick up Natalee and J. at the lighthouse and then dropping them off in the Marriott Hotel area.

SB...if you're up you said...The guard who was interviewed on the Top 95 FM station tonight was VERY specific that it was DEEPAK who he was locked up with. He was clear that his story was that they took Natalee and Joran to the lighthouse, dropped them off, were called BACK there by Joran and picked both Natalee and Joran down to the Marriott Hotel area. He explicitly stated that according to Deepak, Natalee was extremely intoxicated and mostly out of commission but this was a layman's description that would fit a drugged-up young lady just as well. Plus, if he knew Joran slipped her something he wouldn't want to bring that angle in...

I think I know where you're going with this, but can you finish off your thoughts?  

If they were all three (3) or maybe the detritus of 2 into this, are you thinking that perhaps they just got "rid of an unconcious" girl?
