DOTHAN, Ala. (WHNT) – The State of Alabama has issued a missing child alert for a 15-year-old girl in Dothan.  Police say she was kidnapped.
 
Police say Ailane Mariz Lander is 5’5″ and weighs 140 pounds.  She is a white female and has brown hair

Police Seeking Charles Partin as Suspect in Reported Dothan Kidnapping

The Dothan Police Department responded to a report of a kidnapping at 1108 Ross Clark Circle at 1:05 p.m. Upon arrival, police spoke with an employee of Department of Human Resources who reported the incident.

The DHR worker stated she transported 15 year old AILENE LANDER to the medical center for an appointment. While at the office, the worker and Lander were approached by the victim’s step-father, CHARLES PARTIN.

Partin took her to a van and exited the parking lot. A van was stopped by Dothan Police leaving city limits however it has been determined it is NOT the suspect.

Many details are being gathered at this time, early leads are being followed and further inquiries regarding the juveniles’ care being given by DHR are part of the ongoing investigation

Lander is currently legally under the care of DHR for unspecified reasons due to an ongoing investigation.
 
Lander is described as a white female, 15 years of age last seen wearing a white see-through shirt and pink gym shorts.
 
Partin is described as a white male, 36 years of age last seen wearing a baseball cap, dark colored shirt and dark jeans.
 
The vehicle they were last seen traveling in is described as an older two-tone light blue over dark blue 1994 Mercury Villager van Alabama tag #34B26K3. The pair could be traveling with Lander's mother Julie Bethke.
 
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Lander, Partin, or the vehicle in question is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.

The situation began developing around 1:00 pm when police received a report of a kidnapping at the office of Dothan OBGYN, located in the Doctor's Building adjacent to the main hospital.   A source working nearby, who asked not to be identified, said the abduction created "quite a stir."  A weapon is not believed to have used in the kidnapping.

The man being sought by police is identified as Charles Partin, age 36. The abducted girl is Ailene Lander, who is 4-5 months pregnant. She was taken to the doctor's office by a worker with the Department of Human Resources.  

Police have requested am Amber Alert, but two hours after the request, one still has not been issued.

UPDATED AT 5:30 pm Report Of Pregnant Teen Kidnapped From Doctor's Office

Dothan Police have requested an Amber Alert be issued after a teenaged girl was reportedly abducted from a doctor's office at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.  

It is believed the girl is 15 years old but that could not be immediately be confirmed.  A lookout has been issued for a light blue Nissan Quest van.  

The girl is believed to be 4-5 months pregnant.  The man, who may be a step-relative, is reportedly wanted in Tennessee, according to police transmission.

FBI joins hunt for missing Alabama teen

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) — Federal agents are joining in the search for a teenage girl who was reportedly abducted in Dothan.
 
Dothan police Sgt. Rachel David says FBI agents were now working on the reported kidnapping of 15-year-old Ailene Lander.
