thank you Klassend for blowing that up - I was trying and I don't have my other software uploaded on this computer right now.

See if you can capture the tattoo on the side of his neck too. It may be a clue to a gang or something?

Yes, good eye there, Kermit.

Interesting find.

Although I believe those crosses are rather popular now.

Still worth investigating, as Klaas suggested.

From the same Facebook album as Kermit's find.

I think those crosses on necklaces are kinda popular.

THIS IS THE DESCRIPTION OF THE SUSPECT WHOSE DNA IS CONNECTED WITH JESSICA RIDGEWAYS MURDER.
DO YOU GUYS THINK THIS DESCRIPTION WOULD MATCH THE SUSPECT?

The woman escaped and described her attacker as a light-skinned Caucasian male between 18 and 30 years of age, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and brown hair.

Maybe if the cashier had been shown the date and .... that date was between the time Jessica went missing and when her body was discovered... she would be in a position to recall the customers she served.  Nevertheless ... the date and time revealed on the receipt will assist investigators in regards to the stores surveillance camera.

Could it be that that DNA as well as receipts be the catalysts in identifying a suspect.  In other words justice is about to prevail for Jessica Ridgeway.

Fox 31 Denver has also learned about two receipts discovered in an open field near where Ridgeway’s remains were placed.

Portions of Ridgeway’s remains were found on a black garbage bag, though it is unclear whether her remains were once inside. One of the two receipts had garbage bags as an item purchased on it.

The receipts were traced to a King Soopers near W.100th and Wadsworth Blvd., just a few miles from Jessica’s home.

<snipped>

The cashier who sold the garbage bags to the person tells Fox 31 Denver she has no specific memory of either the transaction or the man. She says she was shown the two receipts by police and says the receipts were “long” and one was in the amount of $60.

The cashier did not see the date of the receipt which she says was photocopied by police and presented to her.

Westminster Police Department spokesman Trevor Materasso told 7NEWS that a material found during the investigation, previously described as hair, is being tested. It may be a synthetic material.

Additionally, he said that grocery receipts found were not related to the case.

We can also say that there were receipts collected during the investigation. We can say that they were NOT found at Patridge Park and are not related to the Jessica Ridgeway investigation. Investigators were at King Soopers, however they were following up on several other tips.

Westminster Police have definitively made a connection between the Ketner lake incident and the Jessica Ridgeway murder. We cannot go into details about the connection to preserve the integrity of the case.

Police: Definitive link between May abduction try and murder of Jessica Ridgeway

WESTMINSTER — Police confirmed a definitive connection between the attempted abduction of an adult jogger on Memorial Day near Ketner Lake and the murder of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway.

However Westminster police investigator Trevor Materasso would not say what that link is.

"Police need to preserve the integrity of the investigation as much as possible," he said Monday afternoon.

Westminster police held a meeting with television news directors Monday afternoon to ask them to use more discretion about the details being reported about the case.

On Sunday night, Fox 31 reported elements of the case, attributed to unnamed sources, that Materasso told The Denver Post contained "bad information."

"We are confident in the accuracy of our story and stand by it 100 percent," Fox 31's Vice President of News Ed Kosowski said.

One part of the report said a grocery store receipt for garbage bags was found in Pattridge Park Open Space in Arvada, near where Jessica's body was found Oct. 10. Materasso said no receipts were found in that area or at Ketner Lake Open Space, near Jessica's Westminster home. He said employees at a King Soopers store have been interviewed, but "what led us to talk to them was related to a different tip."

He would not talk about forensic elements of the case, including the results of tests of DNA samples. Nor would he discuss anything about Jessica's backpack, which was discovered in the Superior neighborhood of Rock Creek three days after she disappeared.

He did say what was described as hair by a person walking in a field about a mile from where Jessica's remains were found in Pattridge Park had been collected.

"We are asking people to understand that some of this needs to be withheld," Materasso said.

Hard to get a good look at the tattoo.  He does have a tattoo on his left hand as well and likely full arm tattoos

Thank you Klassend.

Barndi - you are right.

To me, I might be wrong, but it looks like that tattoo on the neck has a hand coming out like it may be a gang sign.

We're dealing with the worst kind of evil.

This guy sure fits the description.

Something else I noted His ear. I thought it was just distorted in the enlarging of the photo, but the guy behind him - his ear looks normal whereas the tattoo guy's ear looks like a cauliflower ear. Like wrestlers and/or boxers get?????

The cashier confirmed the existence of receipts. Materasso does not deny the receipts ... only the location those receipts were located.
