Interesting comment - has anyone else seen a story that indicates Whitney WAS seen in the SUV?

This story is really fishy...If you go to any other website that's not KPTV, KGW, KATU, etc., you'll see that they say the surveillance camera "saw Whitney sitting in the passenger seat while the unidentified was inside paying for the gas". If she was really abducted, then why wouldn't she: a.) Run away while the guy was inside, or, b.) Cause some sort of disturbance to get someone's attention while the guy wasn't there. I'm not going to make any presumptions but I will say that I wouldn't be looking at this as a typical abduction.

Rob I Found this:

They said that gas station attendants at one of those locations -- a truck stop in Troutdale - remembered seeing her SUV and said Heichel was sitting in the passenger seat with a man driving. They said the man was acting suspicious and hurried, buying only a small amount if gas.

Every morning for the last two years I go to that Starbucks and she was working. She is a sweet bubbly one of a kind person and although I only spoke with her 5 minutes a day its amazing how you get to know a person. She would blow kisses at my 2 year old son and called him her "boyfriend" he asks for Whitney in the morning when we pull in the parking lot. and if she was working in the back she would run up front just to say hi... We are praying for her safe return and our hearts hurt for her family

http://www.kptv.com/story/19838032/gresham-woman-missing-police-consider-it-suspicious

She was beautiful, friendly, and had a daily routine that could have been observed by a predator who planned this abduction in advance.

I wonder if she was deceased or completely out of it due to injuries as she 'sat' in the passenger seat?  When a person pays for gas are they able to get cash out at the same time?  Could this be the reason for stopping more than once for small amounts of gas... to get cash back each time?

This reminds me of Gary Michael Hilton.

I think her husbands inability to find words is an indication of how broken hearted he is.  I hope he gets his pretty young bride back.

Interesting - A family friend also told KGW that several transactions were made on Heichel’s debit card, including at ATM machines and three different gas stations.

http://www.kgw.com/news/Missing-Gresham-womans-SUV-found-in-Wood-Village-174492781.html

I would have to say that whoever abducted Whitney has been video captured at least three times. All ATM machines have video and it's not that unclear stuff convenience stores are famous for.

There must be a suspect at this point.

Mother of missing woman: 'She's sunshine in our heart'
 Oct 18, 2012 at 11:12 AM PDT

GRESHAM, Ore. -- The mother of missing 21-year-old Whitney Heichel made an emotional plea to the public on Thursday to help find her daughter.

At a media briefing at Gresham City Hall, Lorelei Ritmiller said she was speaking out to both show support for Heichel's husband Clint and to reiterate that Heichel is beloved in her tight-knit community. She implored anyone with information to call police.

"She's sunshine in our heart," Ritmiller said. "She's gentle. She's compassionate ... She's this compassionate laughing person. Her heart's as big as the sun ... This is just a great human being. This is a person you'd think no one could ever hurt."

Ritmiller said Heichel was at her house on Monday, the night before she disappeared. The family was preparing for an upcoming wedding. She said her daughter was talking about her future, noting her desire to be a mother.

"That was her biggest hope -- to have babies," she said.
