Perhaps one reason people tend to over use the quotes is because no one uses the SUBJECT line.

I'm supposing that people quote to make sure folks know what their talking about.

Of all the posts maybe 10 percent have a subject.  

The PM feature has a little code to force the user to input a subject.

Maybe the messages could to.

also the box in the reply form could have a set size limit.  Im suprised it doesn't already.

Another person had an excellent suggestion. Limit the character count on each post, that way someone cant post these Very LONG Quotes that take up so much space. I am sure it is killing you on bandwidth, unnecessary words in the Body topic. Just a thought, but we do all appreciate the board and all that you do to have such a great place for this discussion. Might also think of putting that ad at the top of the page. I have several phpbb boards, its not hard. But like I said just my 2% worth....keep up the good work.
