I wonder how many more might be popping up?
I know that in the past states have split up, like Dakota into North and South Dakota, Virginia/West Virginia, and Maine was split off too. Perhaps this is the beginning of the 'reset' button for America? A new beginning? Promise of a better future for a nation divided?

By the way, I'm not a Texan originally, I lived in MA, CA, and CO, but I find it to be a very attractive option for every Texan. Anyone who disagrees is either ignorant of the facts or too stupid to see the potential benefit to every Texan.

Naturally Texas won't recede. E pluribus unum and we're stronger as a nation with Texas as part of it. It's not only Texans that feel alienated- rural America and the old South are just as disconnected from what America has become. Times change, ways change, but those who adapt survive. The urban obsession with the nanny state has become the standard. The rest of us just need to do what we've done all along and take care of ourselves and accept that we'll keep less from our own hard work so the slothful can have more despite doing little.
One thing is patently clear: socialism fails everywhere it's tried. It's only a matter of time before that way of thinking rots from the inside and collapses. America isn't an empire of nations held together by tyranny like the old Soviet Union, it's a country with the greatest foundation of any in history. It will survive the hubris of the current oligarchy.
Unfortunately, the nanny state keeps stealing money and making the chains of slavery heavier.

Texas provides the third most Tax revenue of any state. And we get less than a dollar back for every dollar sent to Washington. That well publicized data is 5 years old, I'm sure this has gotten worse under Obama. We certainly didn't get our share of shovel ready projects. Solyndra wasn't a TX company. We have the strongest economy in the US. I love the USA as much as the next guy, but what I love is becoming a figment of my imagination and a distant memory. What does Washington do for us that we couldn't do better and more efficiently for ourselves?

For decades there were lawsuits, million dollar settlements to community organizations, the CRA, and in the end, the financial collapse of 2008.
When does it end? When does it go back to equal opportunity? Everyone have a fair shot? It seems like some get more opportunity and millions more than others and haven't made progress. Is it the fault of business? Individual failure?

No more debt?
OPEN the books of the Federal Reserve.
Maybe apportion the debt, based on population? Those with the biggest populations get to pay back the biggest debt? Those getting the most funds are responsible?
How many states get less back than they contribute? Year after year after year?
Do states get any Homeland Security? Effective border control? Enforcement of the existing immigration laws? Illegal aliens/invaders deported in a timely manner?
The biggest supporters of Obama seems to get the biggest welfare check, seem to exist in a welfare economy that makes everyone poorer.
The welfare economy seems to make the richest even richer. Obamaphones - make the richest man on earth, even richer, and he's a foreigner.
The Chinese standard of living has increased dramatically since Obama has been in office.
Maybe the new country could just issue one big currency? A big inflated currency just like Obama?
Multiple currencies? Competing currencies?

We came together voluntarily, we can dissolve it voluntarily.

I think we live in a time where our government/president is chosen by massive voting blocks in states that do not have voter ID laws and questionable voting practices.
These massive welfare states have high numbers of illegal aliens, welfare participation, and don't require voter ID at the polls. Some, based on recent news reports, have participation rates well over 100% and some approaching 200%.
How is it possible that international election observers find it amazing that the US doesn't require government ID to vote?
The nation requires ID for just about everything someone does in their daily life and some state do not require ID to vote?
Government by vote fraud? Bullies? Thieving hordes?
Any chance any non leftist Democrat will ever get elected? I don't think so.
