November 25, 2012 5:50 PM

TINICUM TOWNSHIP, Pa (CBS) — Delaware County law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman who has been missing for a week.

38-year-old Debra Miller of Essington left her home on Sunday, November 18th to go to the grocery store and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Tinicum Township police do not suspect foul play, but search teams combed the woods around Miller’s home on Sunday

Miller is described as white, 5-feet-8 inches tall, weighing 130-pounds with long black hair and brown eyes. Miller’s brother says it is unlike her to disappear like this. Anyone with information on Debra Miller is urged to call police at 610-521-3830

Published: Sunday, November 25, 2012

TINICUM – A search is currently under way for township resident Debra Miller who went missing last week.

“We’ve assembled our friends and family to see if we can find her,” said Mickey Sullivan, Miller’s brother. “We don’t really know anything and if anyone can help us we’d appreciate it.”

Sullivan said he has not heard from his 38-year-old sister since Saturday of last week. Sullivan said this is out of character for Miller.

Family, friends, authorities search for missing Tinicum woman

Published: Sunday, November 25, 2012

TINICUM — After hours of searching Sunday afternoon, investigators and family members were unable to find Debra Miller, the township woman who has been missing for more than a week.

“We didn’t find anything, which is good thing,” said Tinicum Police Chief Steve Edmiston.

Miller, 38, was last seen at her home in the Essington section of the township on Nov. 17.

“We didn’t find anything,” said Mickey Sullivan, Miller’s younger brother. “It makes you feel helpless.”

Sullivan stressed that it was not like his sister to leave without telling anyone. Miller’s daughter recently celebrated her birthday and it’s not like her to miss an important event like that, he said.

Search continues for missing Tinicum woman

Published: Monday, November 26, 2012

TINICUM — Investigators continued to track down leads Monday regarding the whereabouts of Debra Miller, the township woman who has been missing for 10 days.

“We’re still tracking a lot of information,” Tinicum Police Chief Steve Edmiston said Monday afternoon.

Miller, 38, was last seen on Nov. 17 when she returned to her home in the Essington section of the township after grocery shopping. Miller then left the home but authorities are unsure where she went, Edmiston said.

She did not leave in her car and no one has been able to reach her on her cellphone. Investigators have ruled out the possibility that Miller left the area by another mode of travel, including use of all major airlines, according to Edmiston.

TINICUM – Debra Miller, who was reported missing last week, is back at home safe and sound.

The 38-year-old township resident returned to the area early today, according to Sgt. James Simpkins Jr. She placed a phone call to her father and also called police headquarters when she arrived home.

When police spoke to her, Miller told them she simply had wanted to get away. She had withdrawn cash from her bank account, left her cell phone home and hopped a Greyhound bus to Orlando, Fla.
