Amy Kappel's site says the Kalpoe's brothers' family does NOT own a car rental agency. But she hasn't said what they do do.

And I think one of the mom's said SOME of the girls wore their bathing suits under their clothes. That doesn't mean that Natalee had her suit on that night.

I just can't figure out why they would confide in the security guards.  Are they trying to through the police off the trail?  Why would they tell them anything that is true?

It really doesn't make any sense.  They have told different stories to different people.  They are liers.  Where is the polygraph?

CNN - But John told reporters late Monday that Depak Kalpoe confided in him while they were in jail together, saying he had lied to police and had also apologized for getting Jones and John into "that mess."

"He [Depak] told me that the story about dropping the girl off at the Holiday Inn was all made up," John said, adding that Kalpoe told him he and his brother dropped Van Der Sloot and Holloway off near a Marriott hotel and then went home.

The area being searched Tuesday is near the Marriott, about a mile from the Holiday Inn where Holloway was staying.

John said Kalpoe told him the brothers figured Holloway would turn up "a few days after, in some crack house or beach bar."

Didn't know about the crackhouse comment.  I don't think the family owns a car rental

Why the h**l would he assume that she'd turn up in a crackhouse? Something very strange about that comment.

That seems to point to her being drugged and left somewhere passed out.

Sarah - I very well may be wrong on this, but in listening today to an interview w/ one of the security guards, Mickey I think, he said he was in some sort of room w/ one of the brothers when this conversation/story took place.  At some point after that, both Mickey and the brother were asked if they had ever seen each other before, and each replied no, they had no idea who the other person was (and they were asked to sign something to this effect).  That may explain why the brother was telling this story to some random person.

Again, I think, I heard that correctly, but if someone else knows differently, PLEASE correct me.

when this is solved and the dust settles I hope someone in Aruban LE takes the time to check out what's going on at C&C. Just by digging through Joran's web postings I found several of his "friends" and their postings show a pattern of picking up women who visit Aruba and working through other guys to hook them up too.

The comment about the crackhouse doesn't make any sense to me either.  Something very strange here . . .

Well, first of all it is strange that he would confide in the security guard.  But I also heard the security guard say that the brother had shown police where he dropped them off.  So, if the brother's story is true and he did drop them off there and he had already shown police where, then it makes sense that he would discuss it with a cell mate.  Just because WE hadn't heard that, doesn't mean the police didn't already know that story.  I don't know if it's true or not, but if the brothers really weren't there when something happened to Natalee, then they are probably trying to convince everyone that their story is true.
