I've posted this before, so I'll drop one more post on it and then let it go.

The DOD considers a non-Muslim touching a Koran with his bare hands to be Koran abuse.

Because the detainees consider it Koran abuse. That's probably where most of this is coming from.

But then, a journalist with an agenda and sketchy sources isn't going to be too forthcoming about what the "abuse" actually consisted of.

This whole thing is getting more strange by the day.  Why would the Aruban gov't. spend sooo much money to follow a lead they did not get directly themselves?  Meaning what was said by the suspects to the guards.  All of that draining of the pond plus the police that were out there and usage of heavy equipment has to be expensive.  

Something about the boy finding those panties and holding them up like that for the cameras is just....off.

Natalee's mother seems so much more calm, like she knows something, yet there are reports that she is going door to door with prayer cards and asking for any information that may be available.

This has turned surreal.

Alot of people seemed to be sitting on alot of information.  Geraldo may be a dope but he knows something.  Excuse my ranting. I am sleep deprived.

Someone posted the question "could she swim well"? I don't know what the water is like where Natalee was. But along the coast of Florida, it can be pretty dangerous different times even for an experieced swimmer. Rip-tides are tough to handle. Further, if you are in very deep water, the tall waves make it very hard to swim without being suffocated by more incoming waves. It's not like swimming in a placid lake.

Haven't we all posted mostly just conjecture and misinformation (not our fault, we watch the news...lol)?

Come on, JL, be real.  She's been around since day one on here or very close to that.  We are all just trying to sort this out and we are all full of the misinformation we get off TV and our own imaginations on where this case is going and what happened to Natalee.

I am a new poster to this board, but I've been reading this site for the past week.

First let me say that this is probably the best site on the web for news about this case. There is no other place on the web that I know of, where members have volenteered to translate Arubian news to English...thereby giving us an idea of what's going on at ground zero. Second, it has been very kind of the members who were on the trip, to share insights and details that werent printed by the main stream press. I did attempt to answer the nasty Yahoo poster, but apparantly you have to be a member of the group....not just a member of Yahoo. I would vote two thumbs up for this site's coverage, including the various opinions that have been shared.
