I am a new poster to this board, but I've been reading this site for the past week.

First let me say that this is probably the best site on the web for news about this case. There is no other place on the web that I know of, where members have volenteered to translate Arubian news to English...thereby giving us an idea of what's going on at ground zero. Second, it has been very kind of the members who were on the trip, to share insights and details that werent printed by the main stream press. I did attempt to answer the nasty Yahoo poster, but apparantly you have to be a member of the group....not just a member of Yahoo. I would vote two thumbs up for this site's coverage, including the various opinions that have been shared.

We have assembled a remarkable bunch of people. Tom & I thank you for your getting us info, corrections and translations. Aruba Girl has been a God send. You all make it possible. Differing ideas & opinions are what make good debate. I have to say a special thanks to American in Aruba who was a typing fool this afternoon getting us live material as events were happening. I told him to type away and we would edit. A great job.

I am proud to say we beat all the news wire services to print by a mile and even some video of the story.

I came across the comments below while reading some material provided by W.Smedley, who has been very helpful with a couple things as unfortunately I could never read every comment here, or at Scared Monkeys. Oh, and SC are friends and talk or email from time to time, just in case anyone wondered.

As regards this -

There was a report of a Boston couple that was there at C&C the night natalee disappeared. The lady said that she remembers seeing Natalee in the restroom being cleaned up by her girlfriends after getting sick or making a mess of herself. She also said that the girlfriends had asked Joran to give her a ride back to the hotel.


Is this true ? or have you heard that rumor?


False - While discussing another issue with individuals from Alabama this topic happened to come up. It was actually another girl who actually said so when she learned that some thought it was Natalee. That's the best real non-Internet information I have, anyway.

You are one unbelievably strong young lady. Hang in there!

For everyone else too, I have a question: Where did the info come from to the effect that people saw Natalee as she was driving off, roll down the car window and holler something like "Aruba!" at everyone? And is that confirmed by the MB posters?

That does not sound like someone who is impaired or drugged. That sounds like she was out to take a joyride and it really paints a different picture of events.

IF Natalee was not drugged... IF she wasn't raped... IF the guys are now telling any semblance of the truth... WHAT ARE THEY SCARED OF? WHAT monumentally dangerous thing happened that night that they had to cover up, concoct stories and lie to police about?

The only crimes they could have committed that night are: Drugging Natalee, Raping Natalee, Killing Natalee. If they didn't do any of the three, what ELSE could they be worrying about? An accident does not strike me as being that kind of event. Joran whips out a cellpohne and calls the police, who call an ambulance, assuming they have no 911 there. The guys have nothing to hide.

So what has these guys so royally spooked?
