KerinT - yes, so very much.  It's almost like if we can't do anything for Natalee and the Holloway/Twitty families, that we can at least help Dash.

If the police retrieved computers, they might have a chance to get some good info. My son is graduating with a degree in Info Tech soon. That includes studies in computer security. He says information can be retrieved under some pretty harsh circumstances. You'd almost have to burn the hard drives, and even then some info is still retrievable. The problem is that it's very very expensive. I don't know how much the Arubian police are willing to spend if the info has been erased?

geraldosgirl,

the car was supposedly Deepak's, not Joran's. Technically, Joran isn't old enough to have a legal Aruban license, but your boyfriend Geraldo said he had a car and was driving.

Why the brothers were at Joran's beck and call as chauffers is beyond me. but remember, the story may not be true. it's just what deepak allegedly told mickey.

I guess Dash is safely gone so I will say this...

Do any of the rest of you feel like I do and when she is in here I really don't like discussing what I normally would on the case? I mean I know when she comes in here she is prepared to read things but for some reason I have developed a very protective stance towards Dash (like others have I am sure).

When she is in here and someone who is new comes in and is discussing things "sensitive" I almost cringe on this end.

Yes, Kerin, it makes it much more difficult to discuss all of the real options in this case.  I am very protective of how she may feel.  I didn't even want to discuss the "panties" escapade.  I can see that being a difficult issue for family and friends.  Can you imagine being asked to identify the panties of your missing daughter or friend?

exactly KKM

and if things take a turn for the worst, it is going to affect her for the rest of her life and at her age that is hard to comprehend.

Geraldosgirlfriend:

Yes, I agree it helps to try and think like teenagers.  I think the story the brothers are giving now makes sense.  It would make little sense that the two would stick around for Joran's little tryst.  It's a "guy thing" to get out of the way and to drop them off at a private yet convenient spot.  In addition, I think they came back after he called or sent a text message, and helped him take care of the body.

It sounds like Joran hasn't completely fessed up yet.  Guess that's why they've brought in the interrogation experts.  Let's hope they get somewhere with him FAST.

Yeah I think it is going to be phone records too. But the way I understood it was Joran is supposed to have sent an IM to Kalpoe from his phone to Kalpoe's computer. Thus, confiscating the computer.

So they say they went straight home on got on the computer...

What for? Are they waiting for a message from Joran?

Can you tell what I'm thinking?

I think, by the way, that when people lie, they often mix in the truth.

yeah it's almost like they were waiting for the signal to go back or something (if any of this is true)

Kerin--Exactly what I'm thinking!

Wait--How do I know you're not really an Aurban?!?

does this involve sex/lies/videos or am I imagining things??

Writenow,

Thank you.  You're very right.

Phone/internet is going to be very helpful in establishing a timeline.  time it would take for dutchbag to get home in between his text and his next communicacio with brothers Kalpoe etc.

I know this really is a serious subject and Natalee is what's most important, but in light of everything Tom and Red have done, who is willing to print up t-shirts w/ the logo reading "Scared Monkeys Junkie"?
 Works for me!

How did I miss this initial comment? What you guys don't think of. That's a pretty neat idea. "Scared Monkey Junkies"

I think coffee mugs would have to be the order of the day as well. Big, BIG coffee mugs.
We can all use coffee!  HERE HERE RED! LOL!

Nancy--I could be wrong, because this is nothing but a gut feeling. But I think they all took an active part in what happened to Natalee. I don't believe any of the stories any of them have told. I think they've just turned on each other.

I think my password got hijacked on the TA site.  It would not work on SM.  I'm running Norton to fix it and and Tom helped me out here on SM.  Anyone experience something similar?  I had to move to another computer.

friend of monkeys, you're doing great.  Your posts here really helped us make sense of the story.  This has been an ordeal for you as well.

Today when I saw that guy waving those around on TV my first thought was "My God, if those are hers her entire family and all her friends get to see some jerk waving them around to the world".  Then later I thought about how unreal and staged that whole situation seemed.  But my first thought was how terrible he was, how terrible reporters were, and how terrible the police were.

The picture of the boat....still on the site I posted about last.

Curiosity, thanks so much for posting that pic.  Definitely looks like a large sailing vessel to me, one that would take several people to launch.

I'll look forward to aruba girl's comments on a boat this big and how easily they could launch it in the dead of night.

sailing is our business, please believe me this is next to impossible w. 3 ppl
