Monkey...if what the brothers are saying is true...and Joran sent them an IM saying to come back and pick him up...I see one of 2 scenarios.

1. She was nowhere to be found because she had been picked up by a boat

2. She was dead and then they helped dispose of her

KerinT - yes, so very much.  It's almost like if we can't do anything for Natalee and the Holloway/Twitty families, that we can at least help Dash.

exactly KKM

and if things take a turn for the worst, it is going to affect her for the rest of her life and at her age that is hard to comprehend.

Well, I'm the one who posted a link to the pic of the undies, after Dash said she hadn't even seen them.  Good grief, what IF they HAD been something she recognized?  If everyone's going to tiptoe around it, what if NO ONE had ever ID'ed those as Natalee's?  My gosh!

As it was, I didn't think for a minute that they were--the fabric was some kind of old-fashioned flowery print you wouldn't see on a young woman.

Hmmmmmmm, not sure I buy that theory.  That would suggest that all three have twisted minds.  We know little about Joran, but if we believe what we're told he's aggressive, threw someone through a plate glass window, needed anger management, appeared in a porn flick,  blah...blah...blah...

He fits the profile of someone who might go nuts if Natalee said no to him.

That's my theory and I'm stickin' to it!!!  LOL

Nancy Drew,

Your are 100% right here -

It's a "guy thing" to get out of the way and to drop them off at a private yet convenient spot. In addition, I think they came back after he called or sent a text message, and helped him take care of the body.

Looks like something went wrong during Dutch bags private time.  that also seems more consistent with him being scared, and them discussing the "alibi" days later around a pool.  If Brothers Kalpoe were there, the "let's get our stories straight" pool party wouldn't have been necessary.

Today when I saw that guy waving those around on TV my first thought was "My God, if those are hers her entire family and all her friends get to see some jerk waving them around to the world".  Then later I thought about how unreal and staged that whole situation seemed.  But my first thought was how terrible he was, how terrible reporters were, and how terrible the police were.

yeah and then I hear the news reporter say "someone needs to talk to her mother and see if those are hers". I am sorry but that hit me like a brick

Kerin - I know what you're talking about - protecting Dash from perhaps the harsh reality of this situation - I'm thinking she's in a denial mode - which is absolutely understandable, and maybe the best thing for her, right now.

I've been reading and lurking all night - just taking everything in - your comment is exactly what I've been aware of this evening - she could be the child many of us have....hopefully, that makes sense.

I guess Dash is safely gone so I will say this...

Do any of the rest of you feel like I do and when she is in here I really don't like discussing what I normally would on the case? I mean I know when she comes in here she is prepared to read things but for some reason I have developed a very protective stance towards Dash (like others have I am sure).

When she is in here and someone who is new comes in and is discussing things "sensitive" I almost cringe on this end.

Okay, fell a few pages behind here...

Yes, I feel very protective as well.  Dash is such a sweet and good girl, and I hate for her to have to go through this.  It ticks me off to no end when people upset her.

Somehow she remains so positive in that she keeps faith that Natalee will come home.  I just hope she's right!

DT,

Last night Mickey told reporters Deepak told him they were chauffering Joran and Natalee TWICE. That they first dropped them off at the lighthouse for an hour, then drove back to get them there and drop them off at the marriott.
i'm thinking therein lies the descepancy with 2 stories of the bros'

Seeing some dude waving panties around on international television claiming he's at a cordoned off crime scene was the lowest moment in MSM I've seen in a while,

Does anyone else find it horribly ironic that on Joran's brother's (Valentijn's site) msn site (http://spaces.msn.com/members/pmpnval/PersonalSpace.aspx?_c01_memberprofiletile=showdefault&_c=memberprofiletile), his girlfriend's name is Natalie.

You could be right. But I don't think so. I don't think these are normal guys. Not even the normal pick-up artist type of guys. None of them.

Ask yourself this: You read what Dan posted last night about the confrontation between Nat's stepdad and Joran/Joran's father? One of the brothers was there, too. Did you read Deepak's "crackhouse" comment, as quoted by Mickey John?

Anybody who helps concoct a story to cover for a friend who did something really terrible to another human being is already really far gone himself.

Oh, me too.  I'm not saying anything about what anyone here said or did, believe me.  Just that I'm sensitive to what is being discussed when she is on and what I though about what I saw on TV today.  It really hit me hard too when they said that about asking her mother if those were hers.  As a mother, that would kill me.
