Curiosity[/b]"]If the police retrieved computers, they might have a chance to get some good info. My son is graduating with a degree in Info Tech soon. That includes studies in computer security. He says information can be retrieved under some pretty harsh circumstances. You'd almost have to burn the hard drives, and even then some info is still retrievable. The problem is that it's very very expensive. I don't know how much the Arubian police are willing to spend if the info has been erased?

You can get the info pretty good.  If the drive has been damaged you can sacrifice a new drive of the same make and model, disaaemble the damaged one and move the platters over.  Thats what getts expensive but only 1000 per drive. Nothing in a case like this.

The computers I saw being carried out were in tact though.

I guess Dash is safely gone so I will say this...

Do any of the rest of you feel like I do and when she is in here I really don't like discussing what I normally would on the case? I mean I know when she comes in here she is prepared to read things but for some reason I have developed a very protective stance towards Dash (like others have I am sure).

When she is in here and someone who is new comes in and is discussing things "sensitive" I almost cringe on this end.
I agree, and I don't mention the worst.  WE are therapy for each other, Y'all.

Seeing some dude waving panties around on international television claiming he's at a cordoned off crime scene was the lowest moment in MSM I've seen in a while,

I have to agree.  Bad, bad, bad.  I actually could not believe it was happening.

Geraldosgirlfriend:

I tend to believe this was a simple crime...not complicated.  I was thinking today, these three boys, while possibly first class punks are really still kids. I doubt they are sophisticated enough to make this too complicated and I'm betting they screwed up along the way. They had to be in a state of shock during and after the crime. It's too bad time is passing and forensic evidence can be lost over time...

Kerin - I know what you're talking about - protecting Dash from perhaps the harsh reality of this situation - I'm thinking she's in a denial mode - which is absolutely understandable, and maybe the best thing for her, right now.

I've been reading and lurking all night - just taking everything in - your comment is exactly what I've been aware of this evening - she could be the child many of us have....hopefully, that makes sense.

I hear you. We get comment and emails from these guys and your heart breaks. Tom & I do think of them as our kids looking out for them. But for some dumb luck in my life I could have done some stupid things too. The blame thrown on these guys is ridiculous. They feel bad enough and after the denial will come guilt. What a tough situation.

I like Dash and her attitude,  its cool for that positive energy to be in here.  I would feel the same way if it was my friend.  gives me hope

Juvenal,

Extremely valid point.  Understanding the mind of teenager is plausible.  The mind of Kalpoe/Dutchbag aka twisted, spoiled, apparently "untouchable" youths appears to be beyond reason.

But Juv, I just don't buy that their make out session had an audience.  If Bros Kalpoe were involved I think they did leave for a while at least and , Dutchbag had his one on one time... at least for a while.

DT,

Last night Mickey told reporters Deepak told him they were chauffering Joran and Natalee TWICE. That they first dropped them off at the lighthouse for an hour, then drove back to get them there and drop them off at the marriott.
i'm thinking therein lies the descepancy with 2 stories of the bros'

Although I REALLY REALLY want Natalee to be alive, I agree with this.  I think that it was either Joran on his own and the brothers helping to cover it up or it was all 3 of them together.  I think she was raped and killed.  I don't want that to be the case and pray for her family that it wasn't the case, but I think it is.  I believe these "kids", for lack of a better word, wanted something that she wasn't willing to give and things got out of control.  I don't think there was premeditation or anything like that.  I think they were selfish and out of control.

I'm sure that --- will appreciate your heartfelt desires to be sensitive to her feelings.  I imagine, like all of us, she'll page backward and see what's posted.

In addition to ---, there are other NB kids come in to the website and read what's posted here.  I'm sure they all will appreciate that other posters here are fortified in supporting them and in keeping this story in the forefront until it's solved.

She's not in denial, she's hopeful.  That's important, and it's backed by her strong faith.

Hmmmmmmm, not sure I buy that theory.  That would suggest that all three have twisted minds.  We know little about Joran, but if we believe what we're told he's aggressive, threw someone through a plate glass window, needed anger management, appeared in a porn flick,  blah...blah...blah...

He fits the profile of someone who might go nuts if Natalee said no to him.

That's my theory and I'm stickin' to it!!!  LOL
The only other question then is were the bros still around or not.

Nancy Drew - As you said:

Nancy, I think you're right.  In the middle of the night I don't think this magical trio could so cover their tracks that dutch pros, fbi and whorealdo's stash wouldn't have found something.  They found some old lady's panties for gosh sakes.

It's Bizarre.  I wonder if dutch bag and the bros were checked for scratches...

It would be interesting to know whether Joran placed a cellphone call to Dad that night.

Hey RED, was this site here before all this?  LOL!

We have been a site for a little over 100 days. You mean you have not read posts in our archives? We are a political, opinion, fun and don't take yourself too serious kind of blog. We are going to reformat some things so that we can do both. Kind of like this format. We do posts on our main pages. Prior to this we have actually been on (referenced) MSNBC & CNN on their Inside the Blogs shows. Have been linked to by Aol.blogs, and yahoo as well. Its been a pretty fast and furious 100 days.

However, we never had traffic like this. The server nearly blew today, obvious by some of the difficulties getting on. Tom and I are going to talk as to how to accommodate this into what we do. The message boards are a nice addition.

Nancy Drew,

Your are 100% right here -

It's a "guy thing" to get out of the way and to drop them off at a private yet convenient spot. In addition, I think they came back after he called or sent a text message, and helped him take care of the body.

Looks like something went wrong during Dutch bags private time.  that also seems more consistent with him being scared, and them discussing the "alibi" days later around a pool.  If Brothers Kalpoe were there, the "let's get our stories straight" pool party wouldn't have been necessary.
According to Dan Nats parents et al confronted Urine on either Mon or Tues night.  They would have gotten a story together before that.  (I think)

If Mickey stayed in jail, Natalees  parents might have  looked for years into the sex/slavery  thing .....no conclusiion...just maybe she'll turn up somewhere alive and we'd all hope that too...  not now the way things have unfolded... too many hands got dirty along the way....
