I think that when this finally comes around and evidence is found we will all be sitting here thinking about how stupid they were and all of the mistakes they made that got them caught.  Right now they just don't have anything to go on.  They didn't have anything on Scot Peterson for a long time either.  It all started with Amber Frey and ended with the bay months later.

No, as we've discussed a few posts back...it doesn't make sense they stuck around.  Guys don't do that!  I think they left, went home, used the computer and things were fine until they got the call/IM from Joran.

They went back and helped him hide or dispose of the body.

Now if you were a freaked out trio of teenagers in the middle of the night with a dead body what would you do with it?  They wouldn't want to take it far for fear they'd be seen.  The car seems clean.  So if the Marriot was the spot, where else could the body be?

Nancy Drew,

Your are 100% right here -

It's a "guy thing" to get out of the way and to drop them off at a private yet convenient spot. In addition, I think they came back after he called or sent a text message, and helped him take care of the body.

Looks like something went wrong during Dutch bags private time.  that also seems more consistent with him being scared, and them discussing the "alibi" days later around a pool.  If Brothers Kalpoe were there, the "let's get our stories straight" pool party wouldn't have been necessary.
According to Dan Nats parents et al confronted Urine on either Mon or Tues night.  They would have gotten a story together before that.  (I think)

I think it would only be natural for them to have a story before that night ended!  Whatever it is they ended up doing, you can be sure they came up with a story (likely the lighthouse / HI drop-off story) before they split up for the night!  They had to know her disappearance would be immediately noticed and that they'd be finger'd just as quick!

Nancy...do you know if any of these "fisherman huts" are around the Marriott?

I think this is very possible.  My other thought is that Joran had his time with Natalee by himself, brothers come back to get him, Natalee is passed out and brothers decide they want a turn too.  They go to the "fishermans hut" and that is where more rape and death occur.  Just a theory.

I'm sure that --- will appreciate your heartfelt desires to be sensitive to her feelings.  I imagine, like all of us, she'll page backward and see what's posted.

In addition to ---, there are other NB kids come in to the website and read what's posted here.  I'm sure they all will appreciate that other posters here are fortified in supporting them and in keeping this story in the forefront until it's solved.

She's not in denial, she's hopeful.  That's important, and it's backed by her strong faith.

good point...hopefully something dash learns here saves her in some way someday.

Kerin - I know what you're talking about - protecting Dash from perhaps the harsh reality of this situation - I'm thinking she's in a denial mode - which is absolutely understandable, and maybe the best thing for her, right now.

I've been reading and lurking all night - just taking everything in - your comment is exactly what I've been aware of this evening - she could be the child many of us have....hopefully, that makes sense.

I hear you. We get comment and emails from these guys and your heart breaks. Tom & I do think of them as our kids looking out for them. But for some dumb luck in my life I could have done some stupid things too. The blame thrown on these guys is ridiculous. They feel bad enough and after the denial will come guilt. What a tough situation.
 You r so right, RED!

That's my thought too Dragonfly. I wonder if any soil, etc. has even been looked at in those huts?

Kerin, I know nothing about the island.  I've been trying to find a good clear map..but, we'll have to lean on those who know the area well to get more details.

PLUS,  I have a terrible sense of direction!!!

But, I think these kids were FREAKED OUT!!!  Even cocky kids get grossed out...and there's nothing more disgusting and scary than a dead body in the middle of a dark night.

I think this is a good point, and another of several reasons I don't think all three were involved.

I think what we are seeing may be a very calculated plan by both the brothers ...

we don't know that Deepak wasn't putting on a story for the guard.....he could very well have made this his plan....to pretend to squeal  and thus get some exoneration for himself and his brother...

one detail that Deepak did reveal....who knows if its true....is that they ALL went up to the lighthouse...guard didn't know what they did......and then they ALL left later.........would love to know how much time they had with Natalee.....

then they took her and the Dutch to the Marriot area?.....why?....what's the reason?.......they could have gone swimming anywhere at all.....

I am leaning towards the brothers being more involved in hurting Nat someway.......maybe they concocted a little scenario where the Dutch would take all the blame.....

My other scary thought is I hope that the BOY didn't use his camera phone to record some horrible assualt.....ala his porn movie...and I sure hope that it wasn't broadcast over the internet, if that's even possible....

Geraldosgirlfriend:

I tend to believe this was a simple crime...not complicated.  I was thinking today, these three boys, while possibly first class punks are really still kids. I doubt they are sophisticated enough to make this too complicated and I'm betting they screwed up along the way. They had to be in a state of shock during and after the crime. It's too bad time is passing and forensic evidence can be lost over time...

Although I REALLY REALLY want Natalee to be alive, I agree with this.  I think that it was either Joran on his own and the brothers helping to cover it up or it was all 3 of them together.  I think she was raped and killed.  I don't want that to be the case and pray for her family that it wasn't the case, but I think it is.  I believe these "kids", for lack of a better word, wanted something that she wasn't willing to give and things got out of control.  I don't think there was premeditation or anything like that.  I think they were selfish and out of control.
And way drunk(not that that excuses anything).

We have been a site for a little over 100 days. You mean you have not read posts in our archives? We are a political, opinion, fun and don't take yourself too serious kind of blog. We are going to reformat some things so that we can do both. Kind of like this format. We do posts on our main pages. Prior to this we have actually been on (referenced) MSNBC & CNN on their Inside the Blogs shows. Have been linked to by Aol.blogs, and yahoo as well. Its been a pretty fast and furious 100 days.

However, we never had traffic like this. The server nearly blew today, obvious by some of the difficulties getting on. Tom and I are going to talk as to how to accommodate this into what we do. The message boards are a nice addition.[/quote]

KUDIOS!!!!  make the shirts red, and I'd prefer a tank...
