And, while I do believe that today's search was probably a staged event, if my previous theory were at all true, it would have been a very smart move for the brothers to use condoms.  BUT, maybe that is what they left behind that will be their big mistake (I really don't believe those things found today were related, but that sure would make for interesting discovery).

I have three questions that maybe some of you can clear up for me.
    1.  Somewhere I heard a report that a hotel video camera may have recorded a person (possibly NH) walking along the beach around 2:00 a.m.  Did this ever pan out?
    2.   Any verification of the bruises and scratches that were rumored to be on Jaron's face?
    3.   Any information regarding a statement taken by the police from a beach bum the night of Natalee's disappearance?

No, as we've discussed a few posts back...it doesn't make sense they stuck around.  Guys don't do that!  I think they left, went home, used the computer and things were fine until they got the call/IM from Joran.

They went back and helped him hide or dispose of the body.

Now if you were a freaked out trio of teenagers in the middle of the night with a dead body what would you do with it?  They wouldn't want to take it far for fear they'd be seen.  The car seems clean.  So if the Marriot was the spot, where else could the body be?

ANDERSON COOPER: Mickey, what did this suspect in custody, Depak Kalpoe, tell you about what really happened?

MICKEY JOHN: He told me that -- I was talking to him Sunday -- and he told me that when they left Carlos'N Charlie's [nightclub], they went straight to the lighthouse. He -- Depak -- was driving. His brother was sitting in the car next to him. The missing girl was in the backseat behind Depak, and the other guy was in the backseat behind his brother, and they drove down to the California lighthouse. He didn't tell me what took place at the lighthouse.

COOPER: Now, the lighthouse, that's obviously on the beach?

JOHN: The lighthouse is at the end of island. It's not close to Marriott. It's far from the Marriott. ...

COOPER: He didn't say what happened then?

JOHN: No, sir. He said -- what he told me [was that] on his way back up they stopped ... close to the Marriott and they dropped off the missing girl and the Dutch guy ... and he and his brother went home. And he went online, and like, after an hour later, the Dutch guy sent him a message, a text message on his cell phone, saying that when he got home he'd also go online to chat with him.

That just doesn't make sense.  They ALL 4 went to the lighthouse, then "on the way back up" they dropped Joran and Nat near the Marriott, then he and Satish went home.

So, nothing happened at the lighthouse, and Deepak didn't leave with Satish and let Joran and Nat be alone at the lighthouse?  Then Joran didn't call an hour later from the lighthouse and want a ride for Nat and himself to the Marriott area?

What purpose does the lighthouse segment of this "itinerary" serve?  Is it to stretch time, in which actually Joran made contact with a pre-arranged crime syndicate friend to grab Nat and take her to a boat, for a destination offshore, from which they would then attempt to extort a ransom for the "rich American girl" from her wealthy family?

Joran and high-rolling Dad hanging out at the casinos all the time means to me that the DOJ dad may have "connections".  Also means to me that they like money and lots of it, as evidenced by their reputed "upper-class" residence and swimming pool and so forth.

Joran had several days to scope out the Mtn Brook group, probably being tipped in advance that a "wealthy" group of American teen girls would be coming, with well-to-do daddies back in the States who would walk over broken glass to get their daughters back if something happened to them.

Whether or not the Kalpoes fit in this scenario, I don't know.  Since we're hearing that Joran does actually have his own car--and chose NOT TO USE it that night--it could be that the K's were just beards for what Joran (and possibly Daddy Sloot) had in mind.  No way did he want his own car to be ID'ed for this.

How was he supposed to get home from the Marriott, anyway?  I've heard it was easy walking distance to drop Nat off, walking, at the HI, and then head home.  Is that what the K's *assumed*?  That Joran would walk Nat to the HI and then walk home himself?

Or did everyone know that Daddy would pick him up?  I'm really hoping Nat is alive and being held somewhere like Venezuela by people who just wanted some money (and would've split it with the VDS's for providing the "means" for the scam)--and who now are just sitting it out for a while, waiting for the hubbub to die down before contacting the Twitty/Holloways.

But, I think these kids were FREAKED OUT!!!  Even cocky kids get grossed out...and there's nothing more disgusting and scary than a dead body in the middle of a dark night.

not anything I've seen...I'd like to know who was arrested today and why though....

Well, Joran has lived there for 10 years.  I'm not sure about the brothers and I'm not sure where they all live or on how much property their homes are located.  That may be a possibility.  But, I know from growing up in a small town that there were many places where I lived that teenagers would have known about that would have been perfect places to hide a body.  Places that would not be thought of and places that see no traffic.  I can still think of places where I grew up that would be perfect for that.  Would take years to find something there even if people were "searching" in the area.

friend of monkeys, honestly, I always get on the computer as soon as I get home.  My phone is right by the computer.  I check my caller ID, my email, then I surf a little bit.  Even if it's late at night, I'll do it as soon as I walk in the door.

i just gpot a computer and now know the diff btwn a chat room and ms board..still type lk a 4 yr old...

We have been a site for a little over 100 days. You mean you have not read posts in our archives? We are a political, opinion, fun and don't take yourself too serious kind of blog. We are going to reformat some things so that we can do both. Kind of like this format. We do posts on our main pages. Prior to this we have actually been on (referenced) MSNBC & CNN on their Inside the Blogs shows. Have been linked to by Aol.blogs, and yahoo as well. Its been a pretty fast and furious 100 days.

However, we never had traffic like this. The server nearly blew today, obvious by some of the difficulties getting on. Tom and I are going to talk as to how to accommodate this into what we do. The message boards are a nice addition.

I hope that the FBI actually is getting access to those computers! After the talk today about how tied their hands have been, I am afraid they are NOT. If they do they can just eat this case ALIVE and prove slam-dunk style who is telling the truth in these events!

I really think there has not been enough time and discussion spent on the psychological aspects of this case. When I saw that there is a "children's crimes" specialist there from the FBI, I gained a LOT of hope. That would be someone who knows the teenage mind and how they think & behave in a crisis. There is a lot there to probe.

Natalee is on her last night on that island. She may be wanting to see some sights she might not ever see again. She may be wanting to figure this Joran guy out a little and decide if she wants to keep up Internet chatting with him and maybe keep "things" going in the future. I call this the "Last Night of Summer Camp" syndrome... it is hard on teens to let go of new friends/places, they want to keep it going. THAT IS WHY SHE GETS IN THAT CAR. She has zero thought of getting intimate.

Joran..we know what he's after. Doesn't take a profiler. But how does he act if rebuffed in his chiefest aim? And what does Natalie do when alone with him? They have only been together in groups.

I posted about this this morning. I have a VERY strong feeling that Natalee was ready to ditch this guy any way possible by the time they got within walking distance of the Marriott and they had a confrontation out there with unknown results. I  personally think she might have just run away and Joran may actually not know where she went...out there in the dark. From there... who knows?
