I don't think Joran had to offer them anything.  Another, guy thing...they would help him no matter how creepy it was.  Joran looks like a ringleader and having his approval may have been enough.  Remember, this is "Teen-think".

But even one or both of these brothers were drug dealers, it's still quite a jump to implicate yourself in a murder.

And hey, I'm a guy, and there's no way I'd think twice about turning in even my best friend for murdering someone, much less someone I only knew a few months (while we don't know they only knew each other for a few month, we can tell from pictures that they weren't in Jaron's "inner circle" for long, if at all).

Here's my feeling about the risk.  If your child ever found out you were doing this, the wound would last a very long time.  That's a huge loss.

Showing trust for our kids goes a long way to build self esteem and character.  We have to trust ourselves to do it...but, their emails and discussions with their friends aren't really any of our business.  Unless they are unsafe or illegal.  But, that's another whole story.

Police: Predator Used Popular Web Site To Meet Victim

It was on that site that the parents of a 12-year-old Folsom girl said they found suspicious messages, which led to the arrest of Richard Alan Butenhof.

"They found some sexually explicit messages on their daughter's Web site, placed on myspace.com," Folsom Police Department spokesman Kurt Knudsen said.

Investigators said Butenhof, 35, represented himself as a 20-year-old on the site. He's now charged with sexual assault.

"There are seven separate incidents -- all felonies," Knudsen said.

Myspace.com gets about 14 million visitors per month, but KCRA 3 found that many adults have never heard of it.  (read more on link)

Personally, I din;t care why you don't have any friends.  That would be your problem, and your problem to solve.

Are you for real??  When I said I didn't have any friends, I was... kidding!  I'm an extremely loyal friend, but I happen to have a conscience.  Fortunately, I'm pretty sure my friends aren't going to kill anyone.

Nancy, I see your point, but I differ with you on that.  I agree they have to have their privacy with their friends, but internet privacy has to be earned in my home, it's not automatic.

I think that the ppl doing the interrogation should tell each one of them seperately that they are releasing the other due to evidence against the one that they are talking to....and see what kind of information they get then.
