I heard that this was the most organized search led by the police and that most of the searches have been led by the family along with red cross workers.  The police did not tell Natalee's family if they were actively searching or not.

Red:  I thought I heard on FOX this afternoon that this area had already been searched early on in the investigation.  That's what I find so curious about what's happening now.  Maybe I'm just a cynic.

I agree with Rob, Red, you and Tom are doing a great job, I went into withdrawals when i couldn't get back here, I hate listening to the news on the TV and Radio, I value individual opinions so much more.......... Very Happy  Keep up the gr8 work!!!

I looked up the bar right after the story broke on and they had put up on their site a notice that they would be carding from now on and apologizing for the inconvenience.  it was a loose operation but not ulike those in Cancun and in Mexico along the US border where the kids go to party.  this is a business model, Aruba's business model.  American kids want to binge drink.  The Baptists won't let them do it at home so they go on high school trips to get it on.

Hey Vorpman...I'm in the wireless business on the technical side and I can tell you for the island of Aruba they would have somewhere on the order of 250+, most of the networks are GSM thus meaning that as a mobile makes a call and moves through the system the serving cells are logged by the switch while the call is active. The question is has LE contacted the service providers and tracked the calls of the 3 Amigo's? We already know from a previous poster that NH had a phone (GSM - intl roaming) and that activity could be tracked as well.

How is it that this area that they are searching has not been searched prior to today? I thought there were on going searched from the beginning? This area is near the hotels; one would have thought an area within 1 mile of where Natalee was claimed to have been left would have been searched?

Anyone with that info?
