Personally I was shocked the judge isn't allowing the VDS dad in the jail. Would that be allowed in the US??

and i still believe the FBI should be interogating these kids aswell, like i said yesterday i believe in the arubain justice system, but they are not used to handeling cases like this..........since its such a safe place, but the FBI deals with this everyday and have more expirience, maybe then something will come to surface if they have the chance to interogate them. aruba is great, i love it much, i am moving there myself with my 1 year old son. But we need to let the FBI do there job they are more expirienced.

LET ME ASK THIS Since we all KNOW that Joran has been spoiled by his father (letting him go out and drink gamble & drive underage) Why would you want his father the judge to be able to have a powwow with him and most likely in private.???????????????????????????????/

it wouldn't matter...in US we couldn't have held them this long I don't think w/ this little evidence...it's a catch 22 situation here, on one hand it's good they're in jail, on the other the aruban system has proved to be, inept so far as we can tell

NANCY  -

Where did you hear that the porn flick that Joran supposedly took part in was with a 24-year old, not a 14-year old? I listened to the entire broadcast w/Geraldo & O'Reilly and didn't notice a retraction... Did it happen later or via some other news outlet??

Dragonfly I actually got 5 hours! I am feeling very awake but still need coffee to put me over the top. Lack of sleep and worry for Natalee has taken a toll on a lot of us, hasn't it? But her poor family...day after day after day!! And poor "dash" and their MB group!!  Crying or Very sad

It's time for the Holloways, Twittys and the US to put pressure on Aruba to solve this case and the the FBI lead the investigation.

I wonder if the Aruban law restricts "bugging" during visitation. I mean we are hearing that they did surveillance while the 3 ran "free" but I wonder about while in the jail?

Yes, Kerin, I don't know exactly what it is about this case.  I've always had interest in "missing" cases and kept up with them, but this one seems to have consumed me.  Don't know why.  Maybe it is her mother and that whole "I won't leave here without my daughter" that snagged me.  I have a little girl.

If they have only interoggated the guards twice while in jail, I wonder how many times they have questioned the boys.  They have been in jail less time than the guards.

A parent would do anything  to save there children even if it means crossing the line a bit, so i think this is why they are maybe not letting him visit, i am not sure......................but i think its a good idea not letting a judge (dad) visit...........again you never know, remeber aruba is small everybody knows each other basically, its so easy for the JUDGE (father) to do as he pleases. this is why i believe that the FBI should be next to him at all time if there is to be any sort of visitation between joran and dad and not just arubian officials, (again not that i dont trust them) but since everybody knows each other on the island you never know!!!!!!!!!
and by the way any news about the computers that they conviscated?

In the US, the only time they can't "bug" phone conversations or visitation is if it is between attorney/client.  I would assume, with as liberal as the Arubans are with other things it would be the same there.

Exactly Dragonfly...and my daughter is almost Natalee's age and we were in the Caribbean on a senior trip at the same time this happened...too many things hit close to home for me.

Texas Rick:

I did not see the news report.  However, someone on the forums corrected the age from 14 to 24.  I'm not sure what's correct, but thought it was worth mentioning to you for claritys sake. AND, I have a hard time believing all that Geraldo says.  BUT, finding out the correct age difference is HUGE...as a crime may have been committed.

I did hear Geraldo say the tape was being sold all over the island.
