rogers:  An exclusive brothel wouldn't necessarily have to be in Aruba.  Possibly another country in South America or Asia, perhaps?

This topic has kept on coming up. I still don't think it the most likely possibility, but, if I understand correctly, Venezuela has one of the worst human-trafficking problems in the world. And the authorities there do little or nothing about it.

And the Venezuelan coast is fewer than 20 miles south of Aruba

Exactly the thoughts behind my original post. I have read a lot of that on several websites. It seems to be kept hush-hush as not to taint the tourists but it definitely does exist!

As well as Central America Juvenal.

I was warned over and over when I travelled there. A friend of mine who is from there kept saying I would get kidnapped for 50 cents. He was serious but I am sure the amount was a joke. I did try to be on guard but I can see how easily it happens.
