Well all as addicted as I am to the subject and forum, I am going to go. And tomorrwo when we wake up, and this is all over (hopeful), remember that we all met because of one thing... we cared. Good Luck -- I know what a hard road is in front of you no matter what the outcome is. Arubagirl, you have been heaven sent for the family, the friends, the mothers of all. Thank you for your time and intelligence. And as for our fourm leaders... thank you for letting us be involved.

Hee, Dash. That would be excellent. I say throwing in some bad socca music or carnival music. Just to add it all a local taste.

Mole...and I appreciate that opinion really but the reality of life is people want to protect their friends and so sometimes things get covered up. People covered for Clinton's indiscretions for years, I believe Scott Peterson's parents did some covering (or denying), staffers lied for something as silly as Martha Stewart's stock trades...it is called loyalty. And "IF" the proper people have evidence against Joran it is NOT outside the realm of possibilities that someone on the inside feels a loyalty to Joran and his family.

I just don't think the panties, condoms, electrical tape have anything to do with this case.  For one thing, the area is a well-known make-out spot.  Those items could be anyone's.  Secondly, why would authorities allow some schmoe to rub his mitts all over the evidence?  I know Aruba ain't no CSI, but come on!

u cant get enuf of it can u????

Huh?  I'm not following ya...

Referring to anyone convicted, being in a prison, whether or not the prison will be on Aruba:

Yes, Bill.

OK, then how is prison there?  I know that it's said that such young men are often, let's say, turned into someone's wife in prison.  That might be satisfactory for let's say, 20 years!

What ya think, Arubagirl?  What insights can you provide?

If the FBI didn't handle the evidence either, what the hell are they there for? THis not a training course, jeez, are you kidding me? If the Aruban cops really asked to handle this in order to get some 'experience', I think I'll just give up defending them and start yelling 'cover-up', along with some of you.

Kerrin: I believe Gerldo is an idiot (not just on this) and I respect ArubaGirl's insight because she is there, that's all.

Take it easy, ArubaGirl!  Sheesh!

Now you know how we feel when things like this happen here.

Bill, I once went to the law school here, just for a year. I hated it, so dropped out.

In any case, I went to to the jail to visit, and it's HORRIBLE. Just HORRIBLE. I'd rather die than spend 20 years in there. I mean that. I think I'd go crazy.

arubagirl - did anyone on here address Dan Riehl's question (I saw the post earlier on this board)...? You might know the story by now. THanks.

"As an aside - regarding the period when Natalee first left with the boys, I have hit sort of a conflict which perhaps someone has already resolved. One report that didn't make it in my timeline story is an interpretation of events in front of Carlos And Charlies.

One version I have heard is that Natalee got in the car with the boys as the group was walking off down the street to Mumbo Jumbo, a nearby club. Reportedly, the boys turned the car around, perhaps - or somehow drove back past the group of students Natalee had been with and as they drove by Natalee rolled down her window and was said to have yelled - Aruba!! Aruba!! - or something to that effect.

However, I have recently come upon another version that suggests that wasn't the case at all. If anyone knows if this issue has been explored and resolved, I'd appreciate a heads up."

and Arubagirl..please do not think I am saying Aruban LE is doing some coverup. I just think there may be some loyalties that are keeping some people from coming down hard on that kid to get him to break.

there becomes a point in life where you have to free the dove, and in my opinion, 18 is at that time, i have a 13 and 16 year old, and even though this has happen, and we dont have answers, i will NOT bound my kids for a life time.  I will warn then, look over them, but I will not hold their hands!
