Juan Martinez may take the long way to arrive at his destination but he arrives nevertheless.  The prosecutor is effectively underminding the credibility of both Alyce Laviolette and Jodi Arias at the same time.

Janet

I think he is doing an admirable job. It's very apparent that Alyce is uncomfortable and trying to get out of answering his questions.

Again, I just wish there were not so many "time outs" such as court starting late every day, an hour and a half for lunch, and then coming back from lunch late, then an afternoon "break" at 3 PM, after having been back from lunch just about an hour.

*sigh*

I dont know why but it grates on me the way alyce says "mr martinez" when she answeres questions all the time. For some reason she sounds so condescending to me.

She is soooooo biased! Who apologizes to someone that u are evaluating for murdering one one in cold blood? And she said that it is very boring being in jail so she sent books to Jodi...I wish that Juan would have said
Ma'am, there is nothing more boring than being DEAD!

All the objecting by the defense makes me think she is just trying to throw off Martinez, so the jury would not follow.

I think it is just making the jury annoyed. By her.

Oh well, court is recessed until tomorrow.

Youngest son called to say that his wife has stuck been stuck for a while in rush hour traffic on the way home from Vancouver International with our guests but they should all be home shortly.  Son offered to take us all out to the Olive Garden for dinner.  Sounds tempting but his dad has spent a few hours making sushi rolls (norimaki) and a few Japanese dishes.  My contribution is a Safeway carrot cake which I requested son to pick up on his way over.  Hey ... it is not as though I did nothing.  I had to pick up the phone and order it.  Maybe the Olive Garden will happen but not tonight.

I just heard on HLN that the defence is requesting a mistrial.  Something about the Juan Martinez' approach to the questioning of the experts.  Could it that Martinez exposed some stuff today in regards to Jodi Arias and ... in regards to a bias expert?  Could it be that damage control is where it is at for the defence?

Well ... I am off but throughout the week I will be checking the forum in late in the evening for updates and insights.

I also find it interesting that they r so bold considering wilmott was attempting to coach her witness from the defense table.
