GAS CANS, GAS RECEIPTS = NAIL IN COFFIN

I also think the gun stolen from Jodi's grandparents ... the gun which is the same caliber Travis was shot ... is a huge red flag that implies premeditation.  Think about it.  Initially she told Detective Flores that Travis did not own a gun.

I hope that two months later the jury has not forgotten.

Lies, Lies & More Lies! Jodi Arias Forced To Admit She Made Up Story About Travis Alexander’s Death
Posted on Feb 27, 2013

Prosecutor Juan Martinez rocked Jodi Arias during Wednesday afternoon cross-examination by playing a snippet of a phone conversation where she told a detective that Travis Alexander did not have a gun — a direct contradiction to her earlier testimony. It appeared to be one of the biggest scores for Martinez, who carefully led Arias into her conversation with Detective Flores in the days after Alexander was killed. “Do you know of him having any weapons,” the detective asked Arias. “Handguns?” And Arias calmly said, “No. He was more into like wrestling.” She earlier testified that Alexander chased her in a rage, causing her to shoot him with his own handgun.

Janet,
Hope all is well.

Thanks Kermit.  All is well.

Teacher DIL and another gal have been heavily involved in two fund raisings.  Considering her free time is limited ... she requested that I share some her load.  This week I made the decision to back away from the Jodi Arias trial and stay completely focused on this worthwhile labor of love.  Next week I will scan through the trial proceedings which are posed on youtube.

Thanks for all the updates Monkeys.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/04/24/arias-trial-nearing-its-conclusion/2111403/

The guilt-and-innocence phase of the trial could go to the jury next week

<snipped>
As for testimony, it has been a week of clean-up for prosecutor Juan Martinez.

On Thursday, the medical examiner will return, likely to testify about details of Alexander's death that were not noted during his original testimony at the beginning of the trial. Then the courtroom will go dark until Wednesday, when a psychologist for the defense will counter testimony from a prosecution witness about whether Arias suffers from borderline personality disorder.

Then, on May 2 and 3, the prosecution and defense will make their closing arguments. If the court can stick to that schedule, the jury will get the case May 3.

If the jurors come back with a verdict of first-degree murder, as Martinez will request, then the trial will start anew as the jury considers whether Arias deserves the death penalty.

The attorneys are also arguing as to whether the jury will be allowed to consider the lesser verdicts of second-degree murder or manslaughter.

But meanwhile, the larger court of public opinion is extending its judgment to the Arias defense team and the witnesses testifying in her behalf.

The Republic learned that death threats have been made against defense attorney Jennifer Willmott and domestic abuse expert witness Alyce LaViolette, who testified earlier this month.

Dr. Kevin Horn, coroner describing Travis' injuries on the stand now.

And Jodi apparently not being able to watch. (Her behaviour seemed planned to me.)

Thanks Amys Sister ... you made my day!

Papa and I have good relationship/connection with our three grown kids/spouses and grandkids but ... we also realize they all have their own lives and ... that is the way it should be.

Another day in the Jodi Arias trial.  According to the article Brandi posted ... it appears jury deliberations are around the corner.

Have a good day all!!

I think juan just wrapped it up & put a bow on it. If this jury doesnt find 1st degree then there is no hope for the jury system.

4:35 p.m. ET: Arias told LaViolette that she was in the closet with Travis when she pulled the trigger, shooting him in the head.

Agree.

Every time I see Jodi with a tissue up to her nose, pretending to be crying, I just want to yell at her, "Ma'am, were you crying when you shot Mr. Alexander?!"

I have a sick feeling this jury is not too bright. Their questions concern me a little. The ME has no dog in this race. Why would they doubt him?

Jodi Arias attorney gets death threat; trial nears end
Jury should begin deliberations a week from Friday, judge says

PHOENIX — The Jodi Arias trial, which has been salacious fodder for TV and Internet audiences, has even led to death threats against at least one defense attorney and one key witness for the defense, The Arizona Republic learned this week.

A third juror in the case was dismissed Thursday, and proceedings wrapped for the day by 11 a.m.

The former Palm Desert resident’s trial began Jan. 2 and has spawned an industry of trial coverage and inflamed passions of viewers in several countries, but the end is near. ::snipping2::

Dang I missed court today. Had errands I had to do.  So next Wednesday the defense gets to call in another excerpt to rebuttal the prosecution excerpt. Then it goes to the jurors.

I hope Juan remembers this in closing because I didn't remember it.
Scary if the jury doesn't remember it either.

Jodi was having anxiety as soon as this Dr. Horn took the stand. She kept her hair over her face through his testimony
dabbing at her nose most of the time.

In a nutshell dr. horn that did the autopsy:

IF the gunshot was FIRST

Would Mr alexander been able to grab at anything coming towards someone in a purposeful action?

NO! because of neurological shock, incapacetation, unconsciousness

injury would have rendered him unable to raise his hands or verbalize anything

Which means he probably could not have walked, crawled or run down the hallway
Day 53: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2Sl1al4Cy0

Juan Martinez: "If the bullet was the first wound that was rec'd by Mr. Alexander would it have immediately
incaptatating?

Dr. Horn: "Yes"

Juan Martinez: "And why"

Dr. Horn: "Because of brain injury"
