What happens if they all don't agree?

They try to deliberate until they all agree.

If that just cannot happen, then I believe that is a hung jury.

Then there will be another trial.

Yup!

  <--indeed!

I wonder who they elected foreman of the jury? Sometimes the foreman's opinion can sway others.

Oh, I wish they had all gone in there and were in agreement right off the bat!!

OK, maybe tomorrow!!

We don't know that they were or were not in agreement. Maybe they just had to go over all the jury rules etc...
Tomorrow will have a verdict.hope it is the one that we want.

From your mouth to God's ears, Cookie! If they reach a verdict tomorrow, I feel confident it will be first degree. The longer it goes, the less confident I feel.

Also, if they were in agreement right off the bat, they may be worried if they gave their verdict very quickly, then they would be scrutinized and criticized for rendering a verdict too fast.

I have high hopes they will have a verdict tomorrow afternoon.

I would rather a hung jury than anything less than 1st degree.

I thought that I heard Beth say that they had "looks on their faces that she had not seen before" (not exact) and that it could indicate that they were not in agreement...just her opinion

Cookie...it was Jean that said that about the looks on their faces, and Beth chimed in that maybe they had reached a verdict and
were going to go home and sleep on it and come back and fill out the proper forms and deliver the verdict.
I am encouraged that they decided to come in an hour later today...perhaps because they know that the verdict it nigh?
Today is Stepehen Alexander's birthday... what a wonderful birthday present it would be for Travis's brother to get the guilty
Murder One verdict handed down today ! I am praying really hard for this !!
Tweet that Jodi ....so sick of that hateful witch... I dont think I can take another travesty of justice.....

I have high hopes for a verdict today... also hoping that Jodi loses it and gives the nice deputy the reason to use that stun belt on
her right there in the courtroom...that would be epic !

Was watching After Dark with Vinnie P. last night. Mock jury...one guy voted her not guilty on a few options and even said that he would date her! These are the kind of idiots that we are dealing with on juries. Hopefully not the real one! He also read out some tweets that Jodi sent out via her friend Donavan (?)...is she/he a character like Pat on Saturday night Live?
Jodi has a lot of nerve!

I just heard JVM suggest that if the jury should show up dressed "to the 9's" it's an indication they plan on a verdict today. I suppose there's some truth in that. So, maybe we'll get a clue when they arrive today?

JVM (HLN) just informed that the jury has stopped deliberating after only 7 1/2 hours and will be returning to the court an hour late tomorrow morning.  Beth K. speculated that maybe a verdict has been reached.

Janet

Jean scares me but Beth gives me hope.  I would assume that in less than three hours from now the world will know if jurors are going to continue deliberating or ... they are ready to render a verdict.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL
Aired May 6, 2013 - 19:00 ET

<snipped>

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. And Jean Casarez has just come out of the courtroom. You just saw the jurors leave. Tell us what you just saw.

JEAN CASAREZ, CORRESPONDENT, "IN SESSION": You know, I really studied them when they left. And they looked to me very serious, to the degree that they don`t agree in that room. I mean they were just very pensive thoughts that tell me they have differences of opinions.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, you have observed them over the course of this trial, since January. So --

CASAREZ: It`s a new expression. I have not seen that expression on their face before. Now here`s what`s interesting; they`re not starting until 10:00 tomorrow morning. They started --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: They`re supposed to start at 9:00.

CASAREZ: Right.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So why?

CASAREZ: Well, that`s a good question. And I think the question is does somebody have an appointment? Do they believe that they are far enough along that they don`t have to rush anything? So I don`t know. It`s an interesting commentary, though. They are in no rush.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL
Aired May 6, 2013 - 19:00 ET

<snipped>

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What do you think?

BETH KARAS, CORRESPONDENT, "IN SESSION": Well, it could also mean they have a verdict.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Why?

KARAS: Because jurors will sometimes reach a verdict and go home and sleep on it, meet the next day, make sure that they all agree and nobody has had any second thoughts and then announce it

NANCY GRACE
Aired May 6, 2013 - 20:00 ET

<snipped>

JEAN CASAREZ, "IN SESSION": I think we would have because I believe they will come into the courtroom. You know, Nancy, I just came out of the courthouse. I watched the jury leave just minutes ago as they went home. I saw a different expression on their face, Nancy, than I`ve seen since January. They were focused, so intent. And I feel they`re at odds with each other. I just saw an expression on their face of, I could say, mild agitation.

Made this last night. I was so impressed with Juan's closing statement. I believe he will bring Travis justice.

JODI ARIAS TWEETS

Im sure we all wish she had opted for suicide but we all know narcissists like her dont kill themselves. I truly hope someone on the jury was told about all of the things they dont know by a family member or friend. A jury should be allowed to know everything about a case whether its "prejudicial" or not. Does anyone remember if they got to hear her telling flores that travis didnt own a gun? That is huge to me.

JODI ARIAS TWEETS

Sometimes I hate that she has an audience for her thoughts.. I read the image but after I was annoyed that I even read it Smile.. I haven't gone to her twitter page.

I wish people (in general..) wouldn't give her an audience for her thoughts and/or artwork and that she wouldn't have a way of communicating with the masses. I wish after the trial she would just fade away and never be heard from again.

It makes me so mad how self righteous and self absorbed she is.. and that she just feeds off this attention. I hope ALL these tweets come into play during the sentencing phase to show how absolutely cold hearted and unremorseful she is. (I don't know if it's possible even)

Nurmi didn't say it wasn't her when Martinez brought it up. Donavan has said it was from Jodi on TV. They prob have the proof in the phone calls where she is telling Donavan to tweet stuff.
