"No jury is going to convict me BECAUSE I AM INNOCENT. You can mark my words, no jury will convict me."

Jodi Arias

Pretty girl's do get justice, too!

I thought of the very quote when the verdict came down today.

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2013/05/08/arizona-jury-finds-jodi-arias-found-guilty-of-first-degree-murder-in-the-death-of-travis-alexander/

Remember when Jodi Arias spewed her lies and said in a jail house interview from 2008 with Inside Edition, mark my words no jury would ever convict me (VIDEO) . Wanna Bet?

U see this remorseless beast couldnt even say she hoped the family could find peace & leave it at that. She had to say she hopes they can remember him the way THEY want to. Just evil til the end.
Also, i thought a convicted murderer could not profit off of their crime? They were saying there is alot of money to be made for her with a book, etc.

The 4 year old is in bed........FINALLY!!

I just heard that Jodi did an interview right after the verdict, but I haven't seen it.

This is a good day, Monkeys! There is justice here in America and sometimes the guilty DO pay!

I'm so happy for Travis' family and dearly hope they sleep a little better tonight.

I heard on Dr. Drew that Jodi's Mother said she doesn't know whether she'll take the stand on Jodi's behalf and that her Father will not be there.

I hesitate to move this thread now but it really belongs in the TRIAL section, don't you think?

I'm going to go ahead and move to the High Profile Crimes and Trials Forum area right above The Trial of George Zimmerman.

Well, I heard her twitter account has been closed down this evening.

Also believe her little interview with FOX 10 Phoenix (How did she get to do an interview?! She is a convicted murderer in custody!) ... but I think her saying she wants the death penalty (the ultimate freedom, death, as she put it) is just Jodi being a manipulator again, playing reverse psychology with everyone. Implying she cannot be punished, since the punishment is what she wants.

Slime, she is.

Thanks for the move, Klaas! It's easier to find and you gave us a smooooth landing!

I'm wondering what you all think.......

Do you think the jury will find her guilty of the aggravation phase, so that Jodi moves on to the mitigation phase which can result in the death penalty?

I do. I think proving this murder was heinous, cruel and depraved, is a given. Between the pictures and the overkill that took place, I can't think of a better description.

Judging from what I know at this point, I'd say the mitigation phase won't hold much hope for Jodi's life either.

I do make a prediction. Regardless of what Jodi has said in that interview, she'll appeal all she can if she gets death.

Jodi Arias says she prefers death penalty in post-conviction interview
Published May 08, 2013

Jodi Arias spent 18 days on the stand sharing intimate, emotional and oftentimes X-rated details of her life before a rapt television and online audience. She had hoped it all might convince a jury that she killed her one-time boyfriend in self-defense.

But the eight men and four women on the panel didn't buy it, convicting Arias of first-degree murder after only about 15 hours of deliberations. Jurors will return to court Thursday to begin the next phase of the trial that could set the stage for Arias receiving a death sentence.

It's a punishment that Arias herself says she wants, telling a TV station minutes after her conviction that she would "prefer to die sooner than later."

"Longevity runs in my family, and I don't want to spend the rest of my natural life in one place," a tearful Arias told Fox affiliate KSAZ. "I believe death is the ultimate freedom and I'd rather have my freedom as soon as I can get it."

Can I get the link to where this thread went to? I have not located it. Thx a bunch.

Jodi is going to regret giving that interview tonight.  I do not think that her attorneys can recover from this on her behalf.
She did it to herself. She deserves death.
