First time I have ever seen her NOT look at the jury being seated.

Usually she would seem to make eye contact with them. In a pleading sort of way.

Wilmott is trying to get Dr. Horn to say that because adrenalin was present in Travis, he might not have felt pain.  Geeeesh......

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial

Willmott is trying to show that since adrenaline was pumping the time it took Travis to die was much quicker. #JodiArias

Juan isn't buying Willmott's theory of adrenaline at all. Willmott continues to object many times. #JodiArias

Two things I note:

She is NOT in jail clothing. (She is a convicted felon. I read convicted felons cannot wear civilian clothes in court.)

She still appears disinterested in court proceedings.

A double standard?

Juror's questions......... Judge said there's one and has asked if there are others.

Juan came back strong.

In other words ... being stabbed 29 times and shot in the head has a humane aspect.  Travis' death was quick and relatively painless.  GMAB!!

Did Kirk Nurmi and Jennifer Wilmott sell their souls in exchange for a degree?

Well, Janet, all I can say is that at least OJ was given solid prison garb. He doesn't need horizontal stripes.

I expected Jodi to be in stripes and have no idea why she isn't.

Closing arguments are underway. Juan is up and walking the jury through the killing.

Juan was asking, "Was Travis thinkingabout his Grandmother as he was under attack? Was he thinking about his dog?" Nurmi objected with "improper argument" and they're at sidebar.

LOVE IT!!

Juan's having silence for 2 minutes to show the jury just how long 2 minutes is when Travis is under attack.

I would be thumping something for every stab wound!

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial

Juan has the image of the sink up. He asks for everyone to sit for 2 minutes in quiet to get the feel for the time this all took

"and now he has his throat slit" is what Juan says after the 2 minutes of silence is over. He continues to address the jury.

Same URL as above.

Very powerful.

I would hate to be on the defense team today. How on earth do you make an argument this killing wasn't cruel?

Juan made the point that Travis was going for the door when he tried to go down the hallway. The last thing he sees is Jodi going for his throat with a knife.

Jodi is genuinely upset today, IMO. I believe she's hearing this argument today totally focused on how it effects her, but she's sincerely upset today, IMO.

I don't see the cockiness or confidence in her. I don't see arrogance today. Finally, I think she's skeeeered.

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial

Nurmi claims Juan expanded the time of the murder to 2 minutes to play with the jurors emotions.

Nurmi is up. Some of his points:

State has expanded the timeframe for killing from 62 seconds to 2 minutes.

Is the shot was first, Travis felt little or nothing.

Jodi's suicide effort occurred after the murder so she couldn't have used that reference for assessing Travis' pain.

According to Judge's instruction, Jodi has to be aware of what she's doing. Nurmi asserts she wasn't. He claims that Dr. DeMarte's diagnosis would back that up.
