It seems to me that any way you slice it, the heart of the matter is determining whether premeditation existed or not..

Nurmi said at the most, she snapped and was guilty of manslaughter. OK, so that's one possibility, but not possible if she premeditated murder. Premeditation erases "snapped".

She could have just been defending herself against Travis' attack, but premeditation cancels out being a sudden, unexpected, life threatening attack.

There is so much evidence of premeditation....... a mountain of it! There's one important piece that I sort of expected the jury to ask for the transcript about. Nurmi flat out asserted that Jodi returned the gas can to a different store than where it was purchased, and Juan used the alleged return to the same store to prove she lied about returning it. That's easy enough to clear up but it's important that the fact she lied about it, be established in all the juror's mind. You can't avoid the "why" question that would follow that fact. There is no good answer to that other than the truth.

I wonder if she is found guilty of anything - if those tweets she sent out admitting she was guilty and wanted to plea
will get her more time or something.

Gosh, I HATE WAITING.

What the hell is going on? Not another travesty of justice I hope!
Do u think that the ladies are holding out for murder 1 while one of the guys who got caught up in the sexiness of the case is fighting for a lesser sentence??
Thinking with the little head? Grrrrrrrrrrrr! How can this be? It is sooooooo clear tht she butchered this man!

I've echoed every word of your post, Cookie, in my head! Of course I don't know what is going on, but it's beginning to become obvious that at least one juror isn't convinced there was premeditation.

As far as the little and big head, men seem to only be able to use one at a time, and I do believe that some of the sex discussed had the possibility of warming up somebody.

During the HLN after dark shows that have been aired during the trial, men on the jury were far more likely to vote "not guilty". This was actually said on tonight's show, but it says a lot that those who would be most in danger of her, are also most blinded by her. You'd think they could put themselves in Travis' place and those pictures of the murder would make them shutter!!

I'm not giving up hope, and I'm still choosing to believe that the jury.....any jury.....has no choice but to find her guilty! If I were on the jury, I'd hang it before I'd give in to anything less than 1st degree. I'm thinking there's a real probability that there's at least one woman on the jury that feels the same way.

Hey guys ! I know everyone is getting anxious , nervous, worried...whatever....
Let's try to think back and keep in mind ......
Scott Peterson....the jury was out for 7 days ....Guilty
Menendez Brothers...jury out for 4 days...Guilty
David Westerfield...jury out for 10 days...Guilty....

I am just going to keep praying that THIS jury does the right thing because it has taken me this long to stick my toes back
into the water and if we have another travesty here, then I am afraid I will lose all faith in our judicial system...
Let's all try to take a deep breath, say alot of prayers and keep the faith that there will be justice for Travis...

Made this last night. I was so impressed with Juan's closing statement. I believe he will bring Travis justice.

Im right there with u cubbee. If this jury doesnt do the right thing i will be convinced that all u have to do is make up salacious lies & be a halfway attractive woman to get away with butchering someone. If this was a man or an unattractive woman we would have known the verdict on day one. Look at the autopsy photos.....thats all it should take!!!!!
