I'm so glad it's at least moving on.......... I was really scared there would be another day's delay!

Yeah me too and I'm sick upset stomach! I had to take my anxiety meds. All this for fumbling! Mumbling.

Jodi pulled out that Survivor T shirt during her statement. That's just going to remind the jury that if Jodi lives, she's going to continue trashing Travis as long as she breathes.
Did she say contrary to what people believe I was a victim?

I can't quote it exactly, but she said something to the effect, "There may be some who don't believe I was a domestic violence victim, but this issue is very important to me".

did she bring up pat Womack because juan can't cross her? The alleged death threat?

I think she brought up Womack because she was trying to give the jury an explanation for why nobody was testifying on her behalf. That's why she told them there were death threats, IMO.

Was it here that I read that a long beach domestic violence association put out a statement saying they don't support her cause with those tshirts

The judge did not give any reason why Patty Womack was a no show.  However ... she did share what Womack had intended to share with the jury.

Cookie ... maybe you could access Youtube on you ipad.

I am hoping for a miracle ... a miracle that implies that closing arguments are short and to the point and ... the jury renders a death sentence verdict ... all before 5:00 PM PT.

This is weird no emotion in her or her family. Weird

Maybe there are no more tears left to shed.  Those closest to Jodi must have been trapped in a literal h--- for the past five years.  While going through the motions of life ... there would have always been an elephant present in the room.  IMO

Janet

Janet,

I think I know you well enough that I would venture a guess that if this was your child
no matter what the kid did to bring them to this point, you would move heaven and earth
to speak to 12 jurors that hold the fate of death or life in prison.

I know I would die for the most important people in my life.

I am the one who voted in our poll for Hung/New Jury Needed. I have never thought she would be given the Death penalty, but I did think she would be convicted.

It only takes ONE juror to have bought some of the argument Jodi gave about the positive she could/would accomplish if given life.

However, we have not heard closing arguments. I am anxious to hear Juan's closing argument.

I may have voted too soon, but I doubt it.

I *think* her showing that Survivor t-shirt about domestic abuse will nail
her coffin. From the jurors perspective they did not believe Travis abused her
physically because they convicted her.
I *think* the jurors have made their mind up and it's death penalty.

Everything was going good I  think she does have some good to offer some woman in prison, until she pulled out that Survivor t-shirt

Kermit

I would if given the opportunity.

Maybe the unemotional look on Sandra Arias' face is resignation.  It is certainly a not lack of love for her daughter.  That woman has not missed a day of court.  For the most part ... she has been Jodi's sole support.

Could it be that Jodi is running the defense and ... it was her ... not Nurmi ... not Sandra ... who made the decision to exclude family from addressing the jury?

I agree that her whipping out that tee-shirt was offensive, and pointed out her blatant lie about being abused.

Not sure that would be the nail that seals the coffin or not.

Just takes ONE person.

When she pulled out that stupid T shirt and then said maybe some people don't believe she is a victim of domestic violence - they are entitled to their opinion-  just showed to me she feels contempt for those that don't believe her and she is completely unrepentant!  She just HAD to trash Travis one last time...
She just cannot accept responsibility for what she has done and never will.  I would vote to pull the plug on her.
