Yes, so it's been declared a mistrial.

I thought that they would pick a new jury to hear the penalty phrase again. Where Travis's family has to read their impact statements and Jodi can have someone speak in her behalf. And both lawyers speak again.

 

Apparently ... Juan Martinez can take the death penalty off the table in exchange for life without parole.

What happens next isn't really up to Juan. The victim's family has input as to sentencing as well as Juan's elected supervisor.

ok we're devastated! And shocked! I've a question please will she have different attorneys I pray I pray she does. And can juan use her recent media tour against her.

Ok let's try to hold on to our faith! I for one was so mad and couldn't understand how god would allow this to happen! Last night I was so upset and depressed. I now think that god works in mysterious ways! She got murder 1 on cruelty. If she has new attorneys we won't have to go thru all the clowning! The next time around might be it. I think the media tours she did will hurt her.
