Molly Linhardt missing
7:05 AM, Jan 15, 2013

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KSDK) - Police are looking for a teen girl who may be in danger.

Molly Linhardt, 16, was last seen Monday. Her father dropped her off at Kentucky Fried Chicken for work at 4 p.m. but later found out she was not scheduled to work.

Police say her parents learned she left the restaurant, located in the 1600 block of Jungermann Road, traveling in an unknown direction.

Linhardt was last seen wearing her KFC uniform, which consists of black pants, black shirt, black shoes, and black hat.

Police believe Linhardt may be with 27-year-old Wright city resident Benjamin Kinkade.

Kinkade drives a 2006 silver Chevy Colorado with a Missouri license plate of 7PT914.

Was wondering the same thing Cookie, if the time and age is correct he would have only been 17, perhaps he was convicted as a juvenile?

Kinkade is a registered sex offender in Missouri. According to court documents, Kinkade entered a guilty plea on a charge of first degree statutory rape in 2005. The Wright City resident drives a 2006 silver Chevy Colorado with the Missouri license plate of 7PT914

Linhardt sister Katie, 20, said she had tried to dissuade Molly from spending time with Kinkade.

"When she first mentioned him I was like, 'Come on Molly, that's a bad idea,'" Katie Linhardt said. "'He's a lot older than you. He's your manager.' Once we had this big discussion and they got caught hanging out, she was like 'Yeah, I understand.' ... She made it seem like everything was fine, but I guess she was talking to him secretly."

Doss said Molly skipped school at Francis Howell North on Monday. When her father came to pick her up, he saw her with Kinkade. Her phone was taken away and later that night she was gone.

Katie Linhardt said she has tried to reach out to both Molly and Kinkade, but has gotten no response. Police and the family are asking Molly to contact the family to let them know she alright.

Kinkade was taken into custody by the Sherrif's department without incident. He later was released and is no longer in custody.

Linhardt was brought back home by her family. Follow-up investigations are being conducted by Monroe County Sheriff’s Department in regards to Kinkade.

I'm glad she's back home and safe, but Benjamin Kinkade's actions should have some consequences.  Even if Molly went with him willingly, Benjamin is an adult and he should have stayed away from her.  He certainly shouldn't have taken her in his truck anywhere.    JMHO
