Maids on Main Street

I heard a clip of John McCain saying that the illegal aliens are 'our maids, landscapers, and fast food workers...they need to come out of the shadows.' - my paraphrase

My maid's been missing for decades. Landscaper too. Anyone see them? Maybe I should file a missing person's report?

The Obama's had a personal chef in Chicago. I never read about maids or nannies. Can't imagine MO serving a lovely meal to her family after spending the day cleaning.

Where are the maids on Main Street? I can't think of a single person who has a maid. Years ago, maybe a few...

Where are the landscapers on Main Street? Lawncutters? I can't think of a single person who has a maid. Years ago, maybe a few...

Folks I know clean their own home and do their own landscaping.

Folks I know have teenagers that can't find jobs. Old folks that can't find a job at fast food places too.

Where are all these people living in the shadows? Maybe they're really living out in the open? How many families on welfare programs are headed by folks that did not provide a Social Security number? How many welfare families never provided a Social Security number? Have no income check every year?

If McCain and other elitists 'owe it' to their maids, landscapers, and fast food workers, I think it is a personal debt.

Why are they pushing this 'responsibility' onto the backs of everyday working fools? Folks that work harder and harder to provide for their families, only to watch bigger and bigger governments take more and more? Welfare families that have greater resources?

If McCain and others feel they owe anything to these people, they should dig into their own pockets. Dig deep. Make amends for YOUR failings. Take personal financial responsibility for your feelings of largess.

Please don't dig/steal the money out of the pockets of folks that have no maids, landscapers, and fast food workers.

Perhaps those maid and landscaper jobs could go to welfare recipients? I forget!!!! It is demeaning for folks on welfare to work as maids and landscapers, and for citizen minorities to take those jobs.

Apparently, fascism/socialism is for the masses, not for the folks that have maids, landscapers, and fast food workers.

Folks in Washington live in booms times, most of the rest of us are in the Obama depression. After all these years, still no hard evidence/convictions for the 'crash/collapse' of 2008, the wasted stimulus, the QE, nothing...no evidence there was a REAL problem.

What evidence is there? Increasing salaries/bonuses on Wall Street, cronies, etc.
