Are you really an immigrant if you come here to go on welfare?  Abuse the system set up by kind and generous generations of Americans?  Perhaps a better label is "Economic Terrorist"?

Quote
Speaking just a day after the planning minister, Nick Boles, said he was nervous about the impact of immigration on public services and housing, David Cameron said many parts of the system needed addressing as part of a ministerial push to reduce Britain's "pull factor" for incomers.

With growing pressure from Conservative backbenches and traditionally Tory media over the issue ahead of the lifting of restrictions on nationals from Bulgaria and Romania at the end of this year, the prime minister chaired a special cabinet meeting on the subject.

"Britain has always been an open and welcoming economy, but it isn't right if our systems are being abused," he told MPs at the prime minister's question time session.

"We're going to look at every single one of our systems: housing, health and benefits, and make sure we're not a soft touch for those that want to come here. There are many parts of our current arrangements that simply don't pass a simple commonsense test in terms of access to housing, access to the health service, and access to justice and other things, which should be the right of all British citizens but they are not the right of anyone who just chooses to come here."

The Labour leader, Ed Miliband, tackled Cameron on whether living standards would have risen or fallen by the next general election in 2015 because of rising prices and falling wages, and repeated the opposition's attack on the government for cutting the top rate of tax from April from 50p to 45p in the pound.

"Every week that goes by the evidence mounts against him on the economy," said Miliband, who was due to make a major speech on the subject on Thursday. "There's a living standards crisis for the many and all he does is stand up for the few at the top."

For some reason, in the US folks wanting maids, gardeners, votes want to keep allowing million here for welfare and cheap labor.  Do they care about the declining standard of living for the average American?

Anyone really think that Obama's chorus of "raise my taxes" and "I should pay more" folks will really pay more after all the tax increases?

Anyone really think the elite of the elite, those growing their assets will be worth less in four years?  Take a vow of poverty and move into 500 square food senior housing in an urban ghetto?

Sounds like socialism/fascism is for the masses, not the elite political class.

Forced Labor?  What about taxpayers?  Workers have their wages taxed/stolen by big government?  Savers that have their life's financial store depleted/destroyed by money printing?

The employment minister, Mark Hoban, said: "The court has backed our right to require people to take part in programmes which will help get them into work. It's ridiculous to say this is forced labour. This ruling ensures we can continue with these important schemes.

"We are, however, disappointed and surprised at the court's decision on our regulations. There needed to be flexibility so we could give people the right support to meet their needs and get them into a job. We do not agree with the court's judgment and are seeking permission to appeal, but new regulations will be tabled to avoid any uncertainty.

"Ultimately the judgment confirms that it is right that we expect people to take getting into work seriously if they want to claim benefits."

The TUC general secretary, Frances O'Grady, said: "This blows a big hole through the government's workfare policies. Of course voluntary work experience can help the jobless, and it is right to expect the unemployed to seek work. But it is pointless to force people to work for no pay in jobs that do nothing to help them while putting others at risk of unemployment. "This policy is about blaming the jobless, not helping them."

How is it possible that all these jobs exist and the unemployed can't find them on their own?

How is it possible that millions of illegal aliens come here to work and the unemployed able bodied welfare recipients can't find them?

What's wrong when able bodied people live on welfare for decades?

Many families have a history of poverty and manage to escape and enter the world of work.

what of working folks that watch as government taxes/regulates/steals an ever increasing portion of their labor?  Isn't that slavery too?

If working people don't work, they don't get paid...

Why shouldn't welfare recipients have the opportunity to work too?  Get help finding a job?

Why should only one segment live with 'work or go hungry'?
