"Wednesday's search of the van der Sloot home lasted about four hours. Two white-uniformed investigators from Holland carried suitcases into the one-story, yellow-beige home, which includes an attached apartment where the young man lives. They later returned the suitcases to their white, unmarked car.
   
Investigators also emerged from the house carrying two white plastic garbage bags full of unidentified items. A German Shepherd also sniffed around the property outside the capital, Oranjestad.

Authorities towed a blue sport utility vehicle and a red Jeep away from the house, which is surrounded by a low stone wall and fronted by an expanse of trees and cacti.

"The search is part of the investigation," said Mariaine Croes, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Caren Janssen.

Croes said both cars belonged to the family, but she did not say why they were taken away.

Janssen, who also went into the house, declined to comment as investigators wrapped up their search at about 4 p.m."

it does sound kinda bad that they let the three young men go, supposly to tap there phones and have gps on there cars, i dont know if i trust that. it could be possible that since he is the son of a judge they let him go, but also it could be that they did that as normal prosedure, but if thats the case 2 weeks is enough time to clean up any evadance if there is any

Alana: When leaving the club, went back to make sure no one got left--asked her if okay, she said yeah, going back to hotel with other Mountainbrook students. Looked okay to me, said she was fine. If I didn't believe her I wouldn't have let her go.
Bill: Didn;t look intoxicated, weaving, sick. Was she with Joran?
Alana: Yes she was. I met him before. He was just walking with her, tall guy with dark hair, didn't know his name though. In the casino a lot.
Bill: Knew his face, seen him around
Alana: Yes, but that night, dark, didn't see his face.
Bill: Everyone drinking
Alana: 18 year olds were, that's legal age, don't think anyone 17 could get in
Bill: She was standing there, he was with her, she said she was okay and would get back on her own
Alana: There were two groups of students, we assumed she was going with the other. We turned corner to another club to make sure others weren't left behind there. She's the reason I
passed calculus, so yes, know her pretty well.
Bill: Shock you if she went on her own?
Alana: Yes, rumors that she is less than respectable is false, that's why I'm here. Such a shock to us.

Edward: I saw her a little later that night. (How could he see her later at C&C's if everyone was leaving when it was closing). I saw her dancing with Joran later that night. He had been around the hotel and casino with her and her friends for two or three days.
Bill: So she obviously knew him. So her dancing with him didn't set off any bells. Intoxicated?
Edward: I wouldn't say that, having a good time, we all were, drinking responsibly, not intoxicated.
Bill: Did you see her get in car
Edward: Not in car, just leaving with him.
Bill: No alarms set off
Edward: I wasn't personally concerned. Heard others talk of him, seemed like a nice guy. I made friends with a waiter, I rode with somebody, she rides with somebody, no big deal.
Bill: One big party down there, but no supervision. Did what you wanted
Alana: There was supervision. They knew this was for us, they weren't breathing down our necks but were looking after us very well. Lot say they weren't doing their jobs but they definitely were
Bill: How could they if her disappearance not discovered until next morning, that's not supervision is it?
Alana: 130 of us. Natalee pretty popular so if not with one group of friends, with the other. Everyone looking out for her, rather than no one looking after her. I was at pool until 5 am. Chaperones definitely did their job, don't blame them at all.

I thought he was quite nice and respectful to her (compared to his normal demeanor). He challenged her on the chaperones, but that was just a good journalistic question (and she handled it quite well). Other than that, he basically let them tell their story.

how do you know she was not drugged or knew the other two boys were in the car. A lot of the other kids rode with locals too because they were nice to them. Maybe because you people say constantly it is such a non violent island, they were not careful. I also saw kids from Ohio being filmed and they said they were going to Carlos and Charlies and didn’t care what their parents said. That was disrespectful to the Hollaway family…

Hai Selena, maybe you missed my earlier report, but up to now there was nothing being said on Top 95, I think I will just go to bed if nothing shows up and wait till tomorrow.
