I think "junkie" would be better than "junkey."  "Junky" would be the correct spelling.  Sorry, it's a bad habit I have Embarassed  Love the idea!

I logged on not so long ago; how do you go about getting a t-shirt?  Thanks

We will have a store open tomorrow

Tom,

Are you saying you want to do monkeys standing up instead?? What's your next vision? Are you ditching Larry, Curly and Mo?

Re Mickey looking down:
Remember too that when anyone is being interviewed they've got at least one and possibly two very bright lights shining directly in their face. Sometimes makes it hard to look directly at the cameera.
And if he was having trouble with his earpiece (like Dash said she was) the natural reaction is to look down while you put all your energy into listening.

Question:

Yesterday, somebody replied to me that the FBI was there because it's a kidnapping, kidnapping federal crime, hence the FBI.

Now, what I'm wondering is this: Does the FBI usually jump in a) between 24 - 48 hours of an adult's disappearance (Ihave 72 hours in my head. Could be from watching too much tv) and b) Do they jump in although there is not a clear-cut case for a 'kidnapping'. There has been no ransom note (that we know off), not a phone call (ditto), ANYTHING linking this to a kidnapping.

They respond when a US citizen has been victimized or is missing on foreign soil, but they can only assist and cannot be "in charge" of the investigation in another country.  Response from the FBI usually occurs in an adult missing persons case (unless an Amber Alert is issued for a missing child) within 24 hours if either the country it occured in requests assistance or,  if the case is in the US:

-  local law enforcement requests assistance;
-  local law enforcement has evidence (crossing state lines, etc) to point to a Federal offense in which case it becomes an FBI led investigation

How about this on the coffee mug? It will have it on both sides and a wonderful quote in the middle saying

For A Dash of Truth Be a Monkey Junkey

Tom,

Love the mug!

Hagie9,

TA is trip advisor forum. A lot of us keep bouncing back and forth, though I've become addicted to this site and barely go over there now.

It could be coincidence... isn't St. Lucia where the helicopter was today?
(Note: I do not agree with ALL the speculation in that message but I'm a little curious)

Can one of you guys answer the question whether there was a confrontation of some kind with the guys from MB and one or more of the suspects that night?

Yes, Dash and some of the others said Joran got into a shoving match with some of the Mnt. B. boys, but I think it was the night before at the Casino.
No, I saw an interview w' one of the MB boys on local news who said he saw Urine that night when he broke up that tussle.
So there appears to be at least two confrontations, one in the casino and one at the bar.

Unfortunately she's too busy with the Natalee Holloway case to TALK about the Natalee Hollowee case.

Damn it.

Who on here thinks that "DASH" should get free "Scared Monkey Junky" t-shirt?
OH YES!  She should be on it!
"For a Dash of Truth, Be a Monkey Junky!"

This is a great marketing tagline for Scared Monkeys going forward!  With or without t-shirts....
WOW!  What a great idea!   Shocked

It was a bit annoying, had two meetings.

Bon nochi Nativo Lingo. Thanks for the link. It was an eye opener.

I'm sorry, I have to ask. Has someone been using my handle on the trip advisor forums? Because I've never even posted there and someone asked if I had been banned. I was all: WTF?

If you read the transcript of Mickey's interview with MSNBC, he says when they brought Deepak in and put him in the cell next to him, he acted kinda cool and casual. Asked him if he'd seen the guys arrested on TV. Deepak said yeah, they were from Grenada. Right then Mickey knew Deepak had no idea who he was talking to. He played him until he got info out of him.

mickey was telling the truth in as much as he could...
trust me I know how he looks when he is not being truthful!!
Mickey really seems to be a really good guy.  What you see is what you get!

I was in Aruba May 29-June 3. I stayed at the Radisson and had a great time. The people were so friendly and made sure that we felt welcome. I walked to  the HI several times during my stay to look in the shops and look at hotels between ours and the HI. IT wasn't until I got home on Friday that I even knew anyone was missing.  I will return to Aruba next year.  My heart goes out to the HOlloway family, I just cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
