I think these three guys are despicable! The fact that three of them would take advantage of a drunk or drugged is such a cowardly act.
I can almost guarantee you guys that they have pulled this before, but the person didn’t end up missing. I have four ideas what could have happened to Natalee after the gang rape:
1.  accidental OD
2.  choked on her own vomit
3.  killed herself
4.  killed by them
If Natalee were alive, she would have returned to the HI long ago. I think her mother is starting to come to terms that her daughter is no longer on this planet. Like she said, "They hold the key" "They know what they did with her".
Natalee was a beautiful, smart young girl who deserved to be dropped off at her hotel respectfully and go about living her life. Instead, these monsters used her drunken or drugged body for their own sexual gratification. COWARDS. Nothing but a pack of dogs in my book that deserve to be raped over and over again in jail for the rest of their young lives. PIGS, SCUM.

That is why I asked about "the awakening".  In that the main character walks into the ocean to die on purpose.  Could whatever have happened to her be so horrible that she would take that option.


I also have the hope that she is alive.  Any mother of a daughter would have to have that hope.  She could be hiding in a church--and I mention that only because a priest might not be able to tell.  

She also could be still a prisoner of someone else, who found her disoriented.  I don't know if they have sex offender lists on aruba, but if so, I would hope the police have also visited each and every one of them.

I had spoken with Tom a few days before, he told me that he had a whole bunch of info, but it didn't make sense.  I'm guessing that info was what Red was talking about.
