Are 'Grand Bargains' ever good for America?

'Getting things done...' seems to mean spending more money, borrowing more, more waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer funds...nothing for Main Street. It always seems to be about freebies for votes, nothing for working folks trying to get ahead.

Maybe the problem is Congress and the White House get to many lifetime freebies, have nothing to other than spend and borrow money, aided by the Fed?

$5 TRILLION? No more wasteful studies of fat people. Defund Obamacare. Limits on welfare. End the DOE, HUD, etc.

Slavery is always a good deal for the master, never for the slave class. No way to buy your way to freedom, the government keeps skimming, stealing, taxing, regulating the fruit of other people's labor.
