If this arrest is in relation to the NH case, then do you guys think that it makes it more or less likely that she is alive?

Maybe one of the brothers were the one's taking the pictures of Joran and his friends - the camera shy type.

Wich then could lead to a speculation - he does not want to be photographed because he doesn't want to be known.

Well, my first thought was that it made it more likely.  But, I guess if Joran made a call from that area that morning, it could be someone we have not even heard of helped him dispose of a body.

OK. If someone's going to rape a girl, would you go to an area where other people might hear her scream? No. You'd go to a secluded area where no one is around.

Weren't the California lighthouse @ Arashi and the "lovers lane" at the Marriott both pretty busy areas? Lots of people around? Wouldn't it be easy to find someone who was there about the same time? It wouldn't make sense to go where you could get busted.

Maybe Joran said, Oh before we drop you off I'll show you my school and the other lighthouse -- knowing the place would be completely deserted.

I still keep thinking these guys aren't going to send the police in the right direction. They're going to get far away from the last place she was because they don't want police to find any evidence.

Either that, or Joran liked to show off his conquests so deliberately took girls to well populated areas.

I do not think daddy VDS was in on it...no. I think he advised them after the fact but that's it.

Me too TT.  It really did renew hope.  Maybe it came from information found in Joran's house yesterday.  Maybe he took Natalee there to the house they raided.  And I hate to even bring this up since there are conflicting reports as to his actual involvement in porn, but that is also a possibility if he took her to some house in another town.
