Has anybody noticed the parallels between the Natalee Holloway case and the William Kennedy Smith trial in Florida in the 1990s?

They met at a bar, the Au Bar in Palm Beach. She didn't know him or know him very well.

She went to the beach with him voluntarily and kissed him.

They had sex near the beach. He said it was consensual. She said he chased her, caught her, and raped her.

The jury must have at least had reasonable doubts about the alleged victim's story because they acquitted William Kennedy Smith. Most of the testimony focused on whether there was proof that he used force: why didn't anyone hear her scream?, tears or grass stains on her clothing, bruises, scrapes, cuts, or abrasions on her body.

Draw your own conclusions as to whether he was guilty of rape or not, but at least he was no murderer. It's also clear that no date rape drug was used in the William Kennedy Smith case. The alleged victim was under the influence of alcohol, but she was fully conscious the whole time.

There is nothing similar two these two different cases. One person supposedly got raped and the natalee case is a disappearance and possibily and most likely murder. She probably was raped then murdered so she would not say anything. I do not see anything even close to the same in either of these two cases.
