Hi all,

Thanks for asking about me, GE.

I am doing fine, it's just taking longer than I anticipated (and I expected it to take a while) to get moved. Trying to keep a household going at old place while moving piece by piece into the new one has been quite challenging.

Hubby only being able to work at the new house and move stuff over on the weekends really slows down the process.

I have bathrooms moved (except for a few essentials) and most of our clothes sorted and moved and the office is kinda ready to be moved, although it will be the last thing to move. Still have living room and 1,000 books to pack and move. Not to mention the kitchen. Only moved over glasses and the good silverware and a lot of vintage Blue Willow china that I keep in a large Asian antique glass-front cabinet that is still at the old house!

I want to get moved and living in our new house! Closed on it on March 21 and didn't have a mortgage payment due until May 1. Already paid that and are still not living there!

I have heard from the previous owners that there are deer surrounding the property and they come up to the fence on one side. Have not seen them. Don't want them in the fenced area because they can be very destructive to plants. I have planted vegetables and there are numerous flowers and plants there!

Also, I heard that they have had ground hogs before. I have not seen any evidence of them. They, also wreck havoc on plants.

We do have many birds though. It sounds heavenly outside there.

Brandi you will get it all moved soon. Now that winter is over and you can get the full week ends to move things. It does make it hard when that's the only time you & your hubs have to move stuff. Sending positive thoughts and energy your way. I can understand you wanting to be in your new place.

SeaHorse   That's one of the best things about living in the country. Are all the wild critters. Don't like the snakes but with all the feral cats don't have any that I have seen any way.  Have rabbits, squirrels, possums, armadillos, deer and skunks and lots of birds.

Hi Monkeys,

Brandi and Green Eyes

The country is full of fun animals, you never see the same thing twice.

I saw a coyote, teaching it's young coyote, to hunt for food, this was in the afternoon. Smile

Here is a glorious photo in my opinion of a ground hog.  Yes, I am aware of the damages wild animals cause.

I am patient, because the animals were here first, remember the Ark?

Yes! Happy Mother's Day to all!

We spent the night at the new house (first time we have ever seen it at night) ... so cool to see it with the outdoor lights on. We bought a Serta queen air bed with headboard at Sam's and wow, it was so comfortable! We'll use it on weekends until our real bed gets moved, then use it for guests. Inflatable beds sure have come a long way!

The former owner came by for a visit, we had not met until yesterday, only talked on the phone. It was cool meeting her.

Got home, son had baked me delicious blueberry muffins for Mother's Day! What a nice treat.

Hope everyone else is having a great day/weekend.

Hi the boyzmom,

I just got rid of a stupid cold, scary because that stupid cold, can travel to the brain.

I think a cold is dangerous because it seems innocent, but it can do so much damage.

Remember to take good care of yourself, after you think your cold is gone, because your resistance may be low and the stupid
cold can return.

I always think of the Muffets creator, Jim Hanson?  He died (I believe) of walking ammonia?

How do people not know they have walking ammonia?

You got to spend the night at your new home.  How sweet of your son to make you blueberry muffins for Mother's Day. Slowly but surely you are getting your stuff moved into your new place.

Hi Seahorse,

How you doing?  I have had walking pneumonia while it isn't fun for the most part it's not as bad as regular pneumonia. Sometimes like with Jim Hanson going without treatment for to long can put you in the hospital and cause death.

Hows the weather in your neck of the woods? We got some much needed rain here in North Texas yesterday. We need more but it was wonderful to get what we did. Since it was cooler we didn't have to worry about tornado's. Which was wonderful. Hope you have a great week.
